Tripping on 6.89 Grams Dry

I am planning on taking 6.89 grams(dry)T.Lipi Yai Cubes I grew myself using syinges from t he hawk?s eye. Some of the cakes had a bit of contams on them, but the contams never physically touched the fruit. Do you think it would be safe to take this large amount being as i am unsure of thier purity?

what kind of contams were on it?

I would personally go for a lower dose and test them, taking a high dose like that on a unknown purity, is not a wise thing to do. Hope i was some help to you, thx

The contam doesn't have to touch the fruit, the toxins travel along the network and are dispersed throughout the cake, a contam on the other side of the cake can still put toxins in the fruit on the other side.

The contams were that kind of mold where fuzz starts to grow up the sides of the fruit. How much do you recommend i take to test ?

you say fuzz? was there any color on this fuzz, or did your cakes smell funny? About how much you should try... i couldn't began to answer that, for i would feel really bad if you did take my suggestion and became sick. However i would say no more then 1.5 g's. As for what contams can do to you... well all body realted
a)get sick
b)get really sick
c)die
D)no be affected at all

So use EXTREME caution when dealing with contams. Be safe and have fun.

I think I'll try a litle bit of the more convoluted ones this weekend, I'll just see what happens with a litle bit, and if it does nothing I will be forced to proceed! Thank you guys for the info!

I don't believe that's any sort of contamination, just normal mycelium. It's said that the white fuzzy stuff is due to low humidity. However, better safe than sorry.

How many times have you tripped before? I have tripped a lot of times and when I took my koh samuis, I only got through about 3.5 grams before I started feeling the trip already. I almost lost my mind on just that little amount. The trip was really speedy like and very intense at some parts. That was one of the first trips that I acuatly had to fight myself to stay sane. If I were you I wouldnt eat no 6 grams. Unless you have been tripping alot and you need that much b/c of tolerance. If you do, you better sit back and hold on for the ride.

how much do you weigh?
I am 5'3 200lbs
so it usually takes a little more for me to trip. Do you know which is supposed to be more potent? His website says they are about the same. Maybe I will take less I don't know.

A lot of people say don't take the shrooms when the cake has been contaminated stating that toxins might join the mycelial network. This was an issue a few years back here (obviously I was under a different guise then) but most people seemed to agree that although it might be considered risky, as long as we are talking about cobweb or green mold you should be okay (that is, unless you have an existing penicillin problem).

I'm not necessarily saying you should but I tell you when contimination like the trich reaches your fruits you will know, because they will rot very quickly. Safety first maybe but it wouldn't concern myself now because I already know I have no problem with it. Lets face it, we probably eat a lot of almost off food that is swarming with mold spores and maybe even startup cultures . Anything but your common day cobweb and green and you should follow the advice and stay away from because they might cause problems.

Why risk it bro? Just to trip it isnt worth it, I wont eat any mushroom that comes close to any contams existent in my terraniums.

well if the fuzz was just mycellium then all my shrooms are safe to eat!
excepting the ones that rotted out, but then again i wasnt going to eat those anyway
right now i am at least 90% sure of my shrooms validity
I have taken a few from every jar (spread out over the last week so they dont affect me)to see whether any of them made me sick...none of them did
PS now that I have checked the contams forum i am pretty sure that only one of my cakes had any actual contams on it.I isolated this cake VERY early on so i dont think it had time to transfer to any of my other cakes
