MDMA neurotoxicity reversed!!

MDMA neurotoxicity can be reversed. read this: http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/mdma/mdma_article3.shtml
Yes this was done on rats but our DNA is very similar. This was with large amounts of injectable vitamin C however. Supposedly when you orally take vitamin C it doesn't work as well but it's much better than taking MDMA without supplements. It lowers your tolerance as well. BTW keep in mind this was pure MDMA, so most street pills don't come into play in this study obviously. Peace

Just cause you've never felt it doesn't mean it doesn't exist....

Most people interested in MDMA have probably already seen this 6 yr old Erowid article.

I don't think a lot of people would argue that minimal "brain damage" would be done by a single exposure to MDMA, which is what they gave the rats.

i don't care what any study says, ecstasy is one nasty fucking drug that uses your ass. What about the stress it puts on your heart and the rest of the cells in your body?
So I guess this is much more reassuring that you'll become a successful burn-out with a lesser degree of brain damage?
not trying to be pessimistic or anything I just don't think ecstasy use should be encouraged

That the neurotoxicity of MDMA can be attributed at least in part to oxidative stress has been known for some time and automatically begs the question as to whether or not antioxidants can reduce Ecstasy's neurotoxic effects. I'm not knocking you for posting this study but the only scientifically valid conclusion that can be drawn from it is that very high doses of antioxidants injected into rats receiving doses (also by injection) of MDMA dramatically reduce or block neurotoxicity if it is measured as a function of the effects of oxidative stress on 'serotonin levels', as well as reducing the tolerance which occurs following a dose. This is good news for party rats, but the study admittedly provides more questions than answers in terms of its usefulness for humans outside the lab. First up: Is it possible to consume enough antioxidant(s) to achieve similar benefits, given the fact that they never reach blood levels greater than 1/10th those following injection? The worst thing to do would be to jump to the conclusion that the answer is yes--which doesn't mean the answer is no, it just means we need more complete data. If anyone has direct links to studies on this topic please post them.

6 year bump…
But yeaaaaaaaah….MDMA does cause moderate serotonergic neurotoxicity. The price we pay.
