recipes for broke fools trying to strech a penny

I'm gonna be pinching pennies the next couple of months. When I do I like to make cheap food that I can make in bulk, which will last me at least 2-3 days. Here's my fav recipe for months like this. Anyone else know how to stretch a bunch of cheap ass ingregients for a long time? Gimme dem recipes, biach!
PERUVIAN AJI DE GALLINA (Spicy)
The sauce:
* 2 tablespoons of Peruvian yellow pepper sauce (go to any latin food store. The jar looks like this) http://www.spiceworlds.com/ajiamarillo%20PASTA.gif
* 1 cup of peanuts
* 4 slices of bread (any bread works)
* 3 cups milk
Combine all these suckers into a blender and BLEND AWAY until it's a brownish yellow mush. The measurements don't have to be anywhere near exact. It all depends on how you like your sauce. It should be a bit pasty/sauce like. Careful.. that peruvian pepper junk is SPICY! Add more bread or milk to get it to the desired consistency. Basically.. just keep adding enough milk and bread (and spice if that's your thing) to fill the entire blender.
The chicken:
* 2-3 chicken breasts
* 1 Tbsp ground garlic
* 1/2 onion diced or cut any other small way (your preference)
Cut the chicken breaks into small pieces (maybe 4 pieces per breast, not too small). Fill a large pot halfway and bring to a boil. Plop in the chicken and boil for about 10 minutes or until no longer pink. Drain pot and set chicken aside to cool off for about half an hour (or 5 minutes if you toss it in the freezer)
When the chicken's cool enough to handle, start shredding it into bite sized pieces with your hands.
Put the pot back on stove at medium high. Throw in the garlic and let it cook for about 2 minutes or just before it starts to burn. Toss in the onions and mix for 2 more minutes. Then toss in the chicken and mix for 2 more minutes. Then, mix in the sauce and blam....
This stuff tastes great as the meat in a sandwich, on top of rice, or just on a plate all by itself.
The more chicken and spice you make, the longer it'll last. It's pretty filling. My girl and I have made a pot of this junk and lived off it for breakfast lunch and dinner for two whole days eating nothing else.

i'm broke all the time here's what i do:
-hot dogs (cheap, easy) (like 68 cents for 8 of them + 1 dollar for buns) -ramen, (i dont eat it.. it sucks.) -frozen pizzas (you can add stuff to them like honey mustard and chicken.. some of them aren't bad try the tony's brand they are $2 here and always on sale) -grilled chicken sandwiches (chicken + worcestershire + salt. i like to make my own sauce out of a lot of mayo and a little ketchup and a little worcestershire sauce.. add garlic pepper and a little salt) -salad and add grilled chicken/bacon to it (pretty good) -hamburgers are also a pretty cheap way to get by and you can make em all different ways.. -heb noodle packages are like 60 cents and pretty damn good.. add some chicken and you're set -grilled cheese sandwiches.. also good on the chicken sandwiches! -spaghetti fucking rules.
also a good idea, which i dont do very often, is to just make a stew (get some stew meat like some beef shoulder or chuck.. pretty cheap) and stuff like carrots and potatoes..
alright well this is the end of this installment of broke-ass kitchen.. see you next week when we venture into the world of spam and kool aid.

Ramen I do a lot. I love it... but sometimes you need some more sustenence. Spaghetti is good too. I do a lotta PBJ sandwiches as well.
But it's nice to have a big ol pot of something you can reheat really quick that'll fill ya up and lasts forever. Makes you feel like you're not broke

Step 1: Rice for dinner (usually make 2-3cups) Step 2: Left over rice for breakfast Step 3: Go back to step 1
Even organic rice is about $2/lb, lasts 2-3 weeks for me.
But regular rice is like $1.5 for 5lbs.

egg(sunny side up) + cheese + deli meat = win
Get some natural peanut butter, it makes pb and j taste 100x better (also supposedly healthier).
If you want to eat more healthy, get some brown rice, mixed veggies, and some chicken, cook that shit up, season with favorite sauce (my favorite is general tsos) and eat the hell out of it for like a week. It's actually super cheap and filling.

I used to work at a grocery store. And we would make our own peanut butter and OJ so I would steal crackers and eat soooo much PB and drink soooo much OJ. Good times.

When I was on a diet a while back, I used to eat hummus nearly everyday at lunch. A very small amount of hummus will completely fill you up. If you make your own hummus, you'll probably make enough to last you a week or two, and it'll be much cheaper than buying it from the store.
If there are any middle eastern stores around you, pick up some canned chickpeas (Don't bother with the fresh ones, complete pain in the ass to work with and more expensive), tahini paste, lemon juice, olive oil, and some seasonings. I'll see if I can't dig up a recipe for you, if you want.

I just made tons of french toast.
Now THAT shit will fill you up when you're broke. 6 pieces of bread = about 20 cents + 4 eggs = about 60 cents + a dash of milk and cinimon = maybe an extra 10 cents more wasted
BAM. A filling dinner for under a dollar.

You can use Karo corn syrup instead of syrup. Its the same except it lacks artificial flavor and caramel color.

I eat a lot of potatoes. Way cheap and filling. Usually I'll boil em for 10 mins or so and then fry em up.
You can make a shit ton of baked potatoes, too, and just microwave them when you want em.
You can get hamburger helper and add some more noodles to the pack to stretch it out a bit...
