San Pedro roots

Hello,
So, I received a rooted San Pedro of about 25cm tall, but I don't know if the roots are well developed since I had never seen it before. Do anyone have pics of some roots of a San Pedro about 25cm tall? There are a some roots, from 10 to 15 of them coming from the calous and also some from the sides. They are about 5cm long, and some looks like scales.
Before putting in the pot I cleaned the roots with a spray of water and hydrogen peroxide 3% at 3ml per litter and waited to dry.
Does it looks like ready for watering?

Just put your cactus in dry potting soil and leave it sit over the winter. They grow roots in search of water, not in response to water. By spring, or if it looks like it's starting to shrivel, give it some water. Then water and fert as it needs it.

It's spring here in the South hemisphere
I don't think the cactus was dormant, since the guy was watering it and it was on full sun
I'll just give some time, not too much water, to get better roots I guess... The trip broke some roots :/

even though it is spring there, u should probably not water it until it begins to look slightly dehydrated, let those roots spread through the growing medium then start giving it water... it should develop a good extensive root system this way.
