Start to finish
    #770863 - 07/23/02 02:29 PM (21 years, 8 months ago)

How long would it take to grow some B+ shrooms from start to finish? My parents are gone for a month is this enought time to get a decent yeild? Im thinking of using BRF cakes. Ive read the PF Tek thourohly (sp?) and think i can do it fairly efficiently. IS a month enough time ???

double innoculate to speed up colonization and the day before their return bury a thousand cakes in your yard and tell them you have no clue what 's happening to ya'lls yard a month from now but would be happy to volunteer to help clean it up you could even use your mower and bag it and your parents would be so pleased but could legitamatly use a rake and then sneak over and grab your harvest later just make sure you get paid for the yard work.

I was told once, its roughly 2 months from start to finish. Now when I was told this I wondered [but never asked] if that means from start to the finish of the first flush, or from the start, to the finish of say the 3 or 4 flushes you get?

It would make sense it means all fluishes, so if it does, Im sure you culd get in one or two flushes, but youde be tossing out good cakes.

DONT HOLD ME TO THIS! Im hoping someone will clarify this for you [as well as me cuz Im curious as to the whole time frame]

Just a question that kidna reltes, roughly how much time is there between when you birth, and the first flush is completed? then how much time between when flush one is done and when flush two is done?> Im sure the rest will follow the same pattern...

Those time frames are with a security margin, off course if no contamination strikes.

colonisation:2 weeks
time to pinning: 1 week
pinning to first flush: 1 week.

Sum: 4 weeks

All P. cubensis strains grow roughly at the same rate.

You just might want to start a outdoor project if those are the times you have to work with. Look at Moe's outdoor tek if you havn't seen it already! Good luck!

Yes, my friend had PF classics and he grew his first 8th of mushies in exactly 31 days... so yes, a MONTH... it was his first time, and he loved it!

If you know in advance when your parents are going away, then innoculate some cakes before they go. Colonizing cakes are easy to stash. Then just fruit them while they're away.

honestly, it shouldt be that hard to conceal a small growth. For example, Im putting my fruiting chamber under my bed. Not to hide from anyone, simply an easy place to store, and isnt visible to anyone who comes over. You should be able to do that quite easily, unless your mom searches udner your bed for shit...
