Ayahuasca and Honey

I've read over a dozen recipes and always heard, when fasting before consuming Aya, stay away from sugar. Then I saw this article, "Ayahusca: The Magical Brew of Amazon Shamans"
In it, this Shipibo Shaman named "Don Mariano" says, "Ayahuasca can be made with Honey, but this will make the brew much stronger and more concentrated than normal, will deliver a strong intoxication and therefore the quantity one would have to drink has to be very very little, almost tiny."
Anyone ever heard of this, better yet , anyone ever try this?

I never heard anything with honey and Ayahuasca in the same sentence. When I had Ayahusca while in Peru, I would eat a small breakfast in the morning.... maybe some toast or oatmeal.. and let that be all for that day. I've always been told to stay away from sugar and the other 5 things as well.. Sex, Alcohol, beef, pork, and salt. I was told those things hold you back from communicating with beings in the deeper dimensions... From what I saw during my ceremony was that those 6 things above holding man down in the 5-sense realm/physical reality and preventing man from seeing what the 3rd eye is showing.. Once man eliminates them from the 3d world...man sees beyond the ego-which is tied to the physical plane, then man is able to transcend deeper into this spiritual plane, we all wish to get to...
Like you said, you read over a dozen receipes on the matter.. every shaman has his/her own way of making the brew. With the main ingredients that's in the brew, one being the MAOI.. i wouldn't want to have any type of foreign material in my body, sugar.. etc....to increase the chance of any side effects.... But i'm not a shaman yet.. so what do i know? Your body is just super sensitive to anything while on your journey to the spirit world...even a small sip of water changes the experience. Just be safe and do your homework well before any experimentation with those receipes. Good luck!

Well, while reducing a gallon down to a smaller amount I was guided to test a little before drinking a cup or sharing with anyone. So I put just a little under a tablespoon of the dream stuff under my tongue.... Felt it within 5 mins, all over....feels great!!
It's a half hour later and I'm having trouble typing and spelling but feel slightly and delightfully altered. I had read the stuff about "no Sugar" also but decided to add unrefined dark honey anyway. Pretty amazing so far, I'll report back at a later date when I decide to go for a full experience after fasting. Maybe the honey adds "Bees intelligence" to the mixture Lol.

As long as you haven't been taking any medication, that's plenty of time. Have a good one.
