I was wondering if just half pints of coir could be inoculated instead of using brf or grains. Then that spawned to more coir in a bulk fashion.
Would that be possible?

If you add some sort of nutrient to it, honey water/malt syrup would work aswell as dextrose.
Coir alone is not a suitable substrate for germinating spores and it also takes a hell of alot longer to colonize.

In my early days I experimented w/ any thing and every thing. I would take quart Jars of coir (just coir no additives) and saw results simlar to wbs. Only I used an L.C. to noc it up. But it colonized realy nice and hard. Fruited w/ out spawning to any bulk.

watch moisture levels closely.. hydrate the coir and squeeze all the excess out.. trust me.. too much moisture and you get nothing...

I keep looking up Liquid culture how to's and find an interesting one but some of the posts have been deleted and there are no pictures. "Jeetereds Easy LC tek" or something like that.
Any other easy ones?
and what does "tek" mean?

Tek is short for technique. Try looking for liquid cultures under "Mycelium Culture" in the grow section.

Grain also adds a huge nutritious boost to your final substrate composition.
