did it all already happen?
    #7708462 - 12/02/07 09:04 PM (16 years, 1 month ago)

Sometimes I believe life already happened and we are just playing it out.

Deja vu is one thing. Someone told me they saw a dog pass them and then literally rewind and do the same thing again.

I've heard someone say something before they actually have while in a very relaxed state of mind (receiving Mahikari)

Dreams that predict and event

Coincidence

Sometimes it adds up to make me think are we just playing in a singular point that has no beginning of end, like an swimming pool with no edge

I think it's called "Lira Shinga" in Hindu, meaning Long Body, where our bodies are really one long snake, with the tail being us as a baby, and the head being us at our death. If we could transcend our four spacial dimensions (time is one), then we could see our long body. Supposedly, it's all already laid out and our minds are just running through the time line sequentially.

Have you ever had this tingling feeling that goes all over your body.

It feels good, nothing in particular seems to cause it although I do get the same feeling when I feel I am having a very inspiring deeply revealing thought.

Anyway - I had this feeling once and at the same time I remember the next 5 minutes of the future. I sat there in awe watching everything happening and know exactly what would happen.

I said to myself "this is amazing, I must prove this is real to myself."
I knew the next major event I would see was the passing of a 4x4 on the left. For a few seconds nothing came and I thought shit this was just some insane trip-out but then it appeared. The exact car, exact position, exact colour. Coupled with the other stuff I knew this proved it for me. I also knew what my friends were going to say - word for word before they'd even said it.

This wasn't deja vu this was a very different experience.

Hence, when people say that seeing the future is impossible and bring up that Randi challenge stuff I always argue that it is possible and in my experience is completely spontaneous.

Nice, I've seen that tripping, I didn't know there was a name for it.

It's not like it's already happened, imo, it's more like it's all happpening at once...

My body I will give to pleasures,
to diversions that I’ve dreamed of,
to the most daring erotic desires,
to the lustful impulses of my blood, without
any fear at all, for whenever I will—
and I will have the will, strengthened
as I’ll be with contemplation and study—
at the crucial moments I’ll recover
my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

If you believe that someone at some point in human history has truly seen into the future, however small the event foreseen, you believe that everything is totally pre-determined, right? I mean, all phenomena which arise are inseparable, so that would be the logical conclusion.
