People are too fucked up and selfish. Because of that, love isn't a sure-fire thing.

love is great, ill be damned if i said it doesnt hurt sometimes, and that letting go of it sucks, but id personally rather fall in love, and live life in general rather than fear getting hurt. (or at least try to )
not to mention pussy is great;)

seriously you guys - need to get out more - love is great
- yes, there are times I get depressed,(its called getting your period) or we dont see eye to eye on things (its called being 2 different people)- but 99% of the time its great - it helps if you have something in common with the person, not just sex, because that is a sure fire way to make sure you dont stay together.
There is no formula for love - but I have noticed a lot of impossibly high standards, unrealistic ideas and a lot of hate on these boards (well, its the internet stupid) yeah I know, but I think a lot of people should look for someone to compliment them, not complete them. OoD

Seems people all have there own opinion of what love is - understandably.
I spose when I meet someone new it is infactuation.
I spose love must be what I have for my friends and family cause we try stick together no matter what happens and I'd fight for them, I'd cry if they got hurt thats what I think love is.

settle?
-------------------- Man is timid and apologetic; he is no longer upright; he dares not say "I think," "I am," but quotes some saint or sage. He is ashamed before the blade of grass or the blowing rose.Man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future. He cannot be happy and strong until he too lives with nature in the present, above time TRANSCEND

I dunno where exactly I stand on this issue
cause generally I tend to assume no one wants to have anything to do with me anyway...so I don't even bother 'making moves' or anything like that - I just treat everyone like they're simply a co-worker / or a classmate / or just another person at a party / or whatever (I don't even consider that whole 'friend' option typically)
but every once in a while - I get that inkling that someone's trying to make a move on me (which, I hate to admit, I only catch on to when they're practically throwing themselves down my pants)
and that's when the infatuation bug strikes
it's all downhill from there

I don't fall in love easily. In fact even now in my 30's and married I can't say I have ever fallen in love. Don't get me wrong I love my husband but it's a bond that has formed over the years of us sticking by each other and going thru alot of shit together.
But that romantic, can't stop thinking about the person, think I'll die if I can't be with them, kind of stuff you read about...................... I've never felt it.
But I have definitely fallen in lust many many times in my life.

I have never been in love or in any kind of typical relationship and I don't think I will ever be. Women to me are friends or a warm hole for my pleasure. No room for compromise, one or the other. I don't have sex with my friends and I'm not friends with a warm pleasure hole. But I have diagnosed psychological problems so I shouldn't be take seriously.

I was exactly the same but now I'm starting to understand the more subtle body language.
I used to run away even when a women threw herself at me. Sad times.
I dunno if we are all just nerds or my feelings are a lot more common than I think. I suppose most of us have insecurities and we all want to feel loved.
My main problem is I have to get drunk before I can be good with women When sober I'm all shy - assoon as I'm pissed I'm really good with them.
