Trip Toys?
    #7706528 - 12/02/07 12:56 PM (16 years, 1 month ago)

Seeing as christmas is coming up i thought id make a thread about trip toys

I just bought a laser cosmos projector, im still waiting onit but cannot wait to use it, especially while tripping, it looks amazing in the ads and is suposed to surpass your expactations, i already got a laser pod which is cool but it only takes up a 1/4 of my ceiling.

The best i have so far are

Music/Guitar (pink flloyd & kasabian are the best!)
Laser's (projectors etc..)
Glowsticks
Pets (kitten)
Bubble's
Orgastmatron (thing like a big spider with copper legs then you put it on ur head and it gives the weirdest sensation EVER!!!)

holy crap! i never thought of using that thing! I've got one, but i need to find it. I bet its been thrown out accidentally or something of the like.

I like good markers and paper. Nothing beats that. Though my art is much better when i'm sober, it it 100x more fun when i'm tripping. Pets are also awesome.

Legos
Markers
Lamps
Tapestries
Blacklights
Lasers
Pushing on your eyes
Music of course
Jello is funny
Arms, they help you to use the rest of the trip toys

Here is a pretty good one... I have bought a few of these things before, this one was the best... still works and is on almost everyday since june

http://www.amazon.com/Fountain-Magic-Sky-Humidifier-Changing/dp/B00066IUFA/ref=pd_sbs_k_title_2

Its a "fog lamp" its basically a large blue glass bowl with a fogging unit in the middle that creates a decent amount of fog on the top of the water and changes color... people tripping and etc probably will find it pretty interesting I suppose

Not that much $ too

You can make your own kaleidoscope with a pringles can and some other shit. My friend had two he made in boyscouts when he was little and we took them out when we were tripping, they were crazy!

they've got a new line of silly putty that changes colors with heat and glows in the dark. in a dark room you don't see it at first, but as it gets warm from your hands, it becomes visible. fun stuff!

Those things that have oil and water in them and colored water falls down slides or on a little ferris wheel. Those things are so cool when you are trippin'. I thought the water drops were like little soilders marching. I highly recomend these as a great trip toy.

I cant think of the name of them and it's bugging the hell out of me. any help?

streamers, as in the ones from gymnastics. Will Farrell uses them in Oldschool. those are fun to use when tripping. just move your arms around in different spurts of movement to see how the colorful streaming paper reacts and trails behind.

I'd like to see a demo of this. Might even paint my roof over white again if it's good enough. Only bad thing about having it painted on your roof is you have no choice whether it's on or off.

I already got the laserpod dude, its cool but the laser cosmos is supposed 2 b the one.

The laser pod is good but unless you got really high ceilings itll only cover an eigth of the room, the cosmos is supposed to cover a large area wherever u point it, you have to have compete darkness to get the full effect

Ill post back in this thread and try post pictures but no gauruntees as its supposed to be quite hard to take pics and my camera takes the worst nightim pics....

Check out: (Picture 4!)

i just want some real reviews not website and so called "customer reviews"

the gadget mags ALL say its the best gadget theyve ever seen....btu they would its theyre most expensive gadget!

ill post soon about it anyway. i dont think i can wait until i trip tho, i hope it comes on the day i trip fri/sat this week, thats if my shroomz hurry up and grow more, theyve been stuck small for 2 days running.....

ill report back in detail dont u worry ifits that good ill even post a review on here...ill let u know what i think of ur musical suggestions also....it seems like the perfect trip toy as it doesnt get much better than looking at the stars, i once tripped out in mauritius and i couldnt look at the stars for more than 10 seconds at a time it was mind boggling and it was like too much to take, the longer i looked i got insanley intense rushes.

i doubt this will fullfill the same thing as you cant beat the actual stars and the fresh air with palm trees swaying and the shore lapping at your toes.....but im hoping it might recapture some of the feelings that trip brought me.....just gazing at the stars. i wish you could pause the stars even tho it says they move evry slowly, and even have shooting stars.

Out of all of those Phutureprimitive and Shpongle are the best IMO, Hallucinogen In Dub is cool too. I like the down-tempo ambient stuff. Check out Aphex Twins Selected Ambient II as well.

Meh, it's not the safest thing in the world, nor is it the most dangerous. The vid really barely touches on how cool it is when it moves. I have a lot more (1/2 lb) than that guy. Oddly enough, half a pound takes up a deceptively small amount of space.

I for one wouldn't be tempted to eat random shit when in any state of mind, so it's a go for me!

EDIT

Maybe tomorrow I'll shoot a good vid of the stuff and upload it.

Pets... I like something alive I can interact with. My cat loves it when I dose at home by myself because I'll spend hours petting and playing with him. I tripped with a friend once and we took his golden retriever to a lake. Throwing a tennis ball in the water for the dog to fetch is pretty fun. The dog had a good time too. Also I've always enjoyed smoking pot out of a bong while tripping better than any other method; something about the sound and the bubbles. Other than that you can never go wrong with the good old lava lamp.

I agree, having a pet around is cool! Beleive it or not, my cat will help me find stuff I'm looking for when I forget what I'm looking for. He'll take me around and start rubbing up against the foot of a table or something that has something on it that I was looking for, "ah! my lighter, that's what I was looking for, thanks man!"

How does he know? Once he's figured out that I'm follwoing him around he might get a little selfish and rub up against something "he" wants, like the kitty brush...

Drum circles are the one thing I can't stand when I'm tripping. I can handle any other musical instrument but drums drive me fucking nuts. When I hear drums I just have to get away from them; otherwise I get the urge to throw rocks at the people playing them.

Tin foil

In high school a bunch of us were on LSD. We all took 2 hits each except for this one burnout dude who took 5. Once the acid was kicking in pretty good and he started to get really fucked up, he insisted that we make him a suit out of foil because he was too fucked up to do it himself. So we got foil and wrapped it around him making his suit. There was some left over and we all made foil hats for ourselves and ran around the neighborhood screaming and laughing for about an hour.

i don't know if this has been suggested but as christmas is coming and it's getting darker it gets more evident: CHRISTMAS LIGHTS! take a long roll of christmas lights into a dark room on shrooms and plug it in! it's amazing even without shrooms.

Okay, so I shot a video of a quarter pound of mercury. Doesn't look like much, does it?

Now you can all see that quicksilver is the perfect toy, tripping or otherwise!

Oh, and to whoever said things about cats, i know what you mean. I love playing with my cats. I feel like i can understand what they think so much more. Like when a cat looks at a blank spot on a wall i feel like i understand.

I've got a decent collection of those, but I don't know the name of them either.

One I particularly like is this:

A lot of the pins are bent or missing on the one I have. It's like 7-8 years old though and I still have a good time with it. Try putting it on your face!

I havent tripped using the laser cosmos but its amazing, the fact its green doesnt matter, it doesnt beat looking at the real stars because they make you wonder and think more whereas this just soothes and relaxes you. But its the closest youll get on your bedroom wall to having something that looks universal.

I think while tripping its gonna be mega intense.
It has stars that stay stil and others that move slowly, with a big star in the middle with 7-10 orbiting planets/stars, so you can think of it as a galaxy full of solar systems. With a central huge solar system. Either that or imagine a thousand fireflys flying round your ceiling.

The more you concentrate the lasers the more 3D they seem, when you shine it onto a single wall it looks like your wall has been transformed into an endless universe!

You can stare at it for a good couple of hours and not get bored (sober) i could put it on whenever but i want to keep it fresh for when i trip, i tried both of them 2gether and it lights up the room too much just one by itself is way better (i accidently added 2 to my cart)

Im 100% happy with it costing £100GBP its worth every penny, i cannot wait to look at it tripping!

i don't know if this has been suggested but as christmas is coming and it's getting darker it gets more evident: CHRISTMAS LIGHTS! take a long roll of christmas lights into a dark room on shrooms and plug it in! it's amazing even without shrooms.

I have christmas lights set up in my room all year round, it's awesome.
