got to watch out for that etoliation on the pedros, they do better this time of year if you let them go dormant, otherwise this spring you will have 6 inches of thumb thick cacti tips. They won't gain girth after etoliating from what i understand. The new growth will get big and thick but the already skinny growth will stay as is.
What I'm saying is no growth over the winter is better then skinny growth. Put them in the sun in the spring and watch them burst.
I like the venus in the moss! Nice collection!

Very cool. Are the only lights you're using to grow those the little hand-clamp CFLs? They don't seem to illuminate the area very well.

hmmm 150 watt non Mogul socket cfls??? are you sure the package didn't say... equal to 150 watts of incandescent lighting?? when in reality it turns out they are 30 watts or so ?
the biggest CFL's I ever saw were the 125 watt Sunsystems lights and they were 125 actual watts. I have a 65 watt CFL that uses a Mogul socket

yes you can. i use those fine little cosmetics brushes. not sure what women use them for, but they work GREAT for plant lovin!
