Blue at the base?
    #7706404 - 12/02/07 12:22 PM (16 years, 1 month ago)

Just a question about my first successful grow.. All my mushrooms look the same except one. The large one, where the white fuzz is barely apparent at the base of the stem, has turned blue! What does this mean? I tested it for contams and as I thought nothing but bruising. Yet the shrooms have been undisturbed, is this a higher psycho active count or some environmental stress that I have not accumulated for? Anyways thanks for the help!

Lonnie Edwin

I wouldn't worry, definitely bruising. As for the cause, it could quite possibly be from the minor strain of holding itself up, as it does look like you've got some weight there. Not a bad problem to have!
