Hello. I found this board through google because I was answering a post at another board. The question being: Is the universe infinite? A reply popped into my head: Perhaps it's a sphere. I thought I would google for that just to see if anyone else though of that. Well, that brought me here.
I took some shrooms a long time ago at Yosemite National park over by the housekeeping bridge. I remember sitting on the bridge at night with friends laughing my ass off because it felt like the bridge was swaying back and forth like a swing set. I'll never forget that. It was really fun.
I live somewhere in the northwest and enjoy the beautiful sight of Mt. Hood. Anyway, I just thought i'd say hello and introduce myself.

YEP nice to have you man, i don't think our universe is infinite...ours leads on to infinite realities, that have forces that are more real or less real than the things we consider real here. Ive actually come up with some thing that is more real than gravity that is always acting upon us. think about this, if you agree there there are other dimensions then what keeps us in this one when were:sober and or awake? i came up with this, obviously theres some kind of energy like a frequency if you will that ties us here. When we sleep its slightly altered and we are in another dimension..that substantially is also real. how could it not be its coming form our minds. and also when you take drugs the same thing happens except it acts more as static...unless its some thing potent like shrooms or LSD, were your totally hitting a different frequency. But then that brings up how are these frequency created? well i haven't gotten that far yet hahaha
glad to have you here

hehe, here's the actual thread that brought me here. I googled for: "The universe is a sphere"
Two things that's got me very intrigued is what Alexander Shulgin's wife said (quoted on the net somewhere) and, of all people, - Mr. Fear factor himself (and MMA spokeman) Joe Rogan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grcqs9cDuN8
The thing about Joe Rogan, that guy knows his shit. He is very intelligent.
Oh yeah, thanks for the welcome!

At one point, I though Joe Rogan to be full of shit, but upon further inspection he reminds me of a budding psychonaut. He's definitely new to it, but he's also very devout. And he's succeeded at many things so I'm sure he'll eventually become wise and knowledgeable.
As for a round universe? I don't think the universe has a definite shape. It contains shapes, sure, but it doesn't meant it extends beyond shapes. Just because we live in a physical world, doesn't mean that it's even remotely important. It also doesn't mean we can make a good guess, because we're biased to portray things we can't see/prove in a physical way. You can only imagine as far as you can know/see.
