Hey guys and gals, maybe someone remember me from a few months ago i just did a basic cake grow and toyed with some lc, was successful with my first grow yaaay. This led me to bulk, i just got the money to invest in to all the supplies needed and my first monotub is now 1 week in to colonization. I have a couple of vague questions bare with me please.
1. I looked at it not until the 5th day as directed due to possibility of contamination. It had clearly colonized quite a bit, but something i noticed was the way the mycelium looked. I dont have my camera on me but i have a pic that i can investigate heres a description: The mycelium seems to be like ice shards? lol i mean its regular in the sense of a ominous white overtaking the horse shit, but in some areas it seems there like spikes as if the myc has some thorns going on? Now im almost certain its not primordia or pinning because i know what that looks like. Its wbs spawned to horse shit, i barely had enough for a casing layer but the bird seed is still layered with horse shit. I simply didnt pasturize enough, oh well i know now
So heres a step i forgot, and or didnt see before, the layer of aluminum foil over the spawn. It seemed not to affect it but i did it anyway last night (6th day) and also misted it just in case so it doesnt dry out. It had a faint smell but not pungent like bacteria, i think it might be from the fact i sprayed it heavily in lysol a few hours before making the tub. When i misted it that heavy mushroom smell kicked up.
This tub is kind of a landmark for a buddy of mine and i, we are partners doing our own thing im teaching him, im just making sure this sounds like a normal tub. Id says 60 percent colonized at 5 days, 3 1/2 quarts of wbs to horse poo, all seem normal?
P.s. temps kept around 76-79.

Sounds like strong myc, that kind of growth is generaly considered to be a sign of healthy fruiting

yeah cool i was hoping you guys would say rhyzo growth. Heh im not total newb i got some rhyzomorphic growth in my brf jars but it seems when this colonized the WBS no rhyzo i assume thats due to the wbs. Anyway awesome, strain is burma on this one and i also have some b+ from prints on last grow.
