I have seen those many times on the PCC Sylvania campus, but I unfortunately do not know what they are. Big up Orygun.

For once I think I disagree with cactu. I think you have one of the various False Truffles. Another important feature you didn't mention is that we will need to know what kind of trees are growing nearby (nearby means if you cut down the tree you're close enough that it could hit you). Also carefully note any odor, as many of the False Truffles (and true Truffles) have strong odors.

Happy mushrooming!

yes , many other features are to take in consideration, also truffle sometime are not so round more flat need some how and irregular, if you open one in two that is what i need it , you will see for sure the vein where the spores are produce ,they will never release spores in a central pore as puff balls, the surface or peridio should have some type of structure or be smooth if is a false truffle most real truffles in the genus tuber, are underground, but many false truffle are semi buried not all show off like this ones, so i have my doubt on this one that why i made the comment but now i can see more details the picture is not as clear , but i may go with toxic man , how they smell?.
all my best vibration ....
