Ever felt like you were "maturing" during come up?

When I first began tripping, I would always get into a "what am I doing..I need to stop this.." or "I need to stop fucking around do something with my life" mindset. I get into this mindset at the same time I begin feeling physically sick (nauseous, normal for me during come up).
It feels like I've matured psychologically by a decade. At least that's how I view life and myself in my head, when I'm in that mindset. I noticed that this feeling eventually goes away and after the first few trips, I began to just ignore it.
It doesn't seem to be a problem, but it fascinates me. Why does it happen? It happens to everybody I know who has tried shrooms. Just walking outside usually gets rid of the feeling, but I find the mindset somewhat beneficial and motivating.
One theory I have is that it is due to the physical sickness. The come up to me feels like the stereotypical/cartoonish effects of being poisoned by some exotic animal or plant. I don't consider the fungus poisonous and understand that I am doing no harm to my body.
Is this what you guys describe as "come up anxiety"?

yeah, if can completely let go before effects take control you will not get this feeling.
i would get it only if i was preoccupied. now i completely let go before any trip, and have nothing but good vibes!

I take it as clues to areas of my life I may need to work on. Sometimes it's over exaggerated, but often when I fix something I was having anxiety about on a previous trip, I feel better the next trip when I think about it. Although it's often replaced by some other area that needs work.
Usually goes away during the peak at the latest, so I start with a small dose to minimize anxiety, once that small dose peaks re-dosing with a normal dose is in order.

I definitely get this. I feel like I am being filled with the wisdom of the universe as my trip begins. It is both humbling and unsettling as I realize the profundity of what is happening. It puts me into the perfect mindset for tripping.
I always get this sense that there is something MUCH larger than me going on when I trip. That I am experiencing something much greater than myself, that I have "melded" with the cosmos, and that I am being filled with wisdom, love, and self acceptance.
Tripping obliterates my ego quickly and often, and afterwards it feels as if I have been cleansed from the inside. Without a doubt, tripping has contributed enormously to my personal growth.
