Seasonal Job Ideas
    #7697316 - 11/30/07 12:11 AM (16 years, 2 months ago)

Okay, I need a job.Help me brainstorm I just want one for in between semesters, full time. I only need about 600-800 bucks to get me through the next couple of months. I prefer something night shift. I am thinking either overnight stocker for Giant or Weiss (food stores) or walmart.

Anyone have any better overnight job ideas, as I tend to be a nocturnal person. Or experience at any of these. I wonder what the pay is like, drug tests, etc.

Its odd, i'm 21 and this is the first time I haven't had a job since I was 12. I'm enjoying it, but living off of savings is always a bad idea. Even if the Savings will last me a long time. Oh well enough back story.

Graveyard counter receptionist at a hotel: $15 an hour
Graveyard at 7/11: $9.75 an hour

Last summer I did a lot of night time construction on commercial properties and stores (installing floor coverings, painting walls, etc) and that gave me $34 an hr. 10pm to 6am

starbucks doesn't have 3rd shift. Although the first one did open in this town a few months ago. The second one will open next month. haha

There are a few other local coffee shops, but I don't know. That hotel idea sounds interesting, and there is a sheetz(like 7-11, but fresh food) close by.

Dennys!  Serving is easy enough to pick up and the tips will keep you in ciggarettes and beer.

You don't want to consider this long term tho.  :sun:

I didn't know stocking shelves was considered seasonal.

When I think seasonal I think Ski resorts, Golf courses, life guards, camp consulars stuff like that.

Any job can be seasonal. It's just another word for temporary.

Drive a plow, it's mostly night work. Blade down, forward. Stop, blade up, reverse. Stop, blade down, forward. It's like a really big shovel, unless of course it doesn't snow where you live?

I am actually quite good at that. I am looking for something that will last me a little after Christmas, until my next semester starts back up in the middle of Jan.

Try Call Center or Data Entry/Order Processing. It's getting late in the season but try that out.
