Why not get some horse or cow shit and spawn that?

I would save the wood for the wood lovers, but YMMV...

>I got a ton of dried logs and wondered if I could innoculate them with spawn?

P. cubensis won?t grow on logs.

Actually hardly any mushroom is going to grow on dry logs.

Do you have any way to chip this wood?

Well, still, woodchips are not the optimum substrate for cubes.

>B+ are cubes, isn't the optimum substrate for cubes wood?

No, it isn?t.
The optimum and the most natural substrate for cubes is cow dung.

I dont think you'll have much luck looking for cubies in a forest growing off of wood. Psilocybe's decompose dead grass or straw and cow manure.

Why not try an outdoor bed of manure and straw? Probably would be wise to colonize the manure/straw mixture first in a large container.
