Has anybody checked glass pipes in luggage for a flight? I will NOT be bringing any contraband materials... just some standard glass-spoon pipes wrapped in bubblewrap right outta the shop.
My wife things it's a bad idea, but I don't see where anybody can do anything.
experience/opinions?

I had a friend who was visiting me pack an unused bong he bought here in his luggage and it made it home fine.

My fiance checked the glass piece of a huge hookah on the way back from Morocoo. If it's unused, I don't see how it could be an issue.

You can't bring glass on a carry on you can use it as a weapon.
You should be able to bring it in normal luggage but it's in more danger of breaking and I would expect to get searched just because of the nature of the item.
Last time I went on a cruise a friend bought a bong and had no trouble getting it home

should be fine I've flown from amsterdam with a new piece just fine aswell as flying from portland with a smelly/dirty ass bubbler in my luggage had no problems I wrapped the bubbler in a plastic bag and then in a few socks so it wouldn't break
