mad overlay, still good??
    #769164 - 07/23/02 07:07 AM (20 years, 2 months ago)

Hello, I have just recently preformed a casing with a crumbled mycobag and straight potting soil w/perlite. I did this about a week ago and I have noticed quite a bit of overlay since. I was thinking about deep scratching but I am not sure if this overlay is as bad as it looks. Im afraid that I do not have pics to show.

The top layer is about 75% covered with overlay, it does look like knots are starting to show. Should I patch-case, deep scratch or just leave it alone?

By the way, the strain is lipa Yai.

Thanks in advance!!!!!

RagHedFred

You're positive it's actually overlay? It's hard and not quite like regular coverage?

I'd pray for pins, personally. And if that doesn't happen soon, scratch it and maybe even add a tiny bit more casing.

But that's just my opinion....solicit some advice from others too

Leave it alone.

Yay. I let it be and what do ya know??? Pins!! There must be about 30-35 of them spread out. I see many more knots too!! This is my first casing and it looks to be a total success.

Thanks for your help!!
