...I can answer your question from a cultivator's point of view.

These filters are excellent for working with cultures that require what people here commonly refer to as "dunking" since tap or distilled water will inhibit the growth of most species.

This also applies to water that is used by many to hand-mist their crops to keep them hydrated or to humidify a grow space area.

Another application would be for filling something like the Hydra-Pod with the required water for supplying humidity and the transportation of water that takes place from the wicking medium to the cake which gets passed onto the crop.

For these particular applications mentioned above; one would either need to have access to water supplied by a well, or would have to purchase bottled spring water, or worse yet; they would have to boil tap water on almost a daily basis to provide them with the water they need to support their crops.

For example; if someone were using a gourmet or medicinal mushroom patch (such as the ones offered here at fungi perfecti) within a Hydra-Pod, then they would have to fill the pod with fresh water on a daily basis. This can be a pain in the ass if you have to boil tap water every time it requires refilling. It would also prove to be very costly if purchased 1 gallon at a time for spring water.

So, some cultivators may find a product like this to be a very useful tool that is well worth their investment. Not to mention that they are great for purifying your drinking water!

I don't care what vendor you call out as I simply asked you a question that you evidently want to avoid. Is this how you handle customer's questions? If you construe someone asking you a simple question about you charging $37.50 for shipping is flaming then color me guilty. I think the customer has a right to know that when they purchase an item from you that is listed at $139 they are actually being charged $176.50! I don't care if your price is $7.00 cheaper than the little guy, WHO CARES!, at least I know what the price is over there. You don't even mention any additional shipping charges let alone one for $37.50, you don't find out about that until checkout time. It seems like a very deceptive practice to me IMO.~Out
