Glad you enjoyed it. Haha, funny you say that about acid and their visual show.
I remember sitting there during 10,000 Days completely blown away by the entire song, the music and the visuals. I turned to my friend and said "Dudddde, you don't even need acid...they trip for you!"

I love their visual display when they play live. I just wish the band themselves would play with a little more energy.....I mean I know it's gotta get old playing the same 12 songs every other night, but that's your job.
I've seen em three times and the only time I've ever seen them get into their set was during bonnaroo. I mean the other two shows noboday in the band really moved much...just stand there play and get it over with.....

I'll be there Dec 5th in Ptown w00t! Last saw them on the days tour in DC last september (2006) . . . was very blown away and was under no drug influence at all. I definitely did not find the energy lacking at all.

I have only seen them 1 time at a normal show in michigan, yeah they dont have much a personal stage presence but I guess they never really have. I suppose back when they toured opiate/undertow they at least didnt "hide" in the dark... and they first bassist would move around a lot, and Maynard in the front.
I have heard being in the front for maynard affects his hearing and etc. I think they are shy of having too much of a face to their fame or something. Oh well.

I couldn't find it, but there is a soundclip of Adam Jones talking about that. He said some reporter was complaining the he was shoe-gazing the whole show and wasn't 'rocking out enough.' Jones said something like "he totally missed the point... we have lighting and imagery and jumbotrons and stuff to create a surreal, emotional atmosphere. It isn't about the guitarist and the drummer, it's about the music."
They have a different style on stage. They downplay their own presence. It's intentional. They don't really appear in their videos either.
I'm sure some one out there knows the clip I'm talking about.
