not getting in the right mood

it's been half a year i last tripped. now i got some dried shrooms (2,5g) and first it was a crazy anticipation. i have to wait though because a sitter doesn't have time to be with me until the weekend. she is great, i was her sitter too and everything went fine so i trust her.
at daytime my mood is uplifting and fine, but once it gets darker i get somewhat moody and depressed and don't feel like shrooming at all. i think this isn't normal, there's something up with that.
i figured i should then dose at daytime but it's so weird, i've never had this. it's like a whole new level of tripping for me: the first trips were awesome, now basically i don't care that much about the visuals but about the state of mind and how it helps me navigate the inner space of me. like asking questions honestly about myself and removing social masks.
in the beginning it was all fun and awesome, now i feel it's gotten a bit too serious.
anyone had this before? is this some sort of a "mushroom hump" i have to get over? i sure hope so because i love mushrooms
i'm trying to sort this out before the weekend.

If you care more about the state of mind and troubleshooting your brain, I'd say go with a larger dose, less often; 5g should do you fine.

I got to that point and I just don't have the desire to trip anymore. I feel like if I do I might end up panicking or getting much anxiety during the trip, so it just isn't worth the risk.

Then you have nothing to worry about.
Just kidding, I've had that problem as well, where you still wanna trip but never at any given moment. For me time off (like 8 months or so) helped me regain my desire to trip.

I have always tripped on mushrooms a lone, it's great. I did 5 grams on thanksgiving and it was amazing, changed the course of my life. If I'm alone I don't think I could have a bad trip unless something bad happened during the trip. I'm not afraid of my brain, after all your brain is YOU so don't be afraid to find out more about yourself. 2.5 grams isn't much at all dude go for it alone I'd say. It's amazing because there's nothing distracting you from thinking about your life.
