 trying to make an incubator - need help locating final piece

so its winter now and my house is too cold for my colonizing mycelium. ive decided to make a couple incubators. i have almost all of my supplies. ive decided to go with a TiT style and i have 2 Pro Heat D-58 controlers, but i need the heating elements for them. 200watts would be perfect. I've google searched and came up with nothing. I've tried the local pet stores as well and again, nothing. Does anyone know where I can get the heating elements?

usually a 50watt heater is fine
you gotta remember that they make the higher wattage ones for larger fish tanks
just don't burn your place down bud

wow 500 watts is a bit much ill look on their site for a lower wattage one. a 50watt version is better then? i have a small water pump to circulate the water so theres no hot spots

i noticed those are from another manufacturer. any chance they might not be compatible with my pro heat controller?

in all honesty,
you should just use a 50watt and make a heatbomb and stick that in your tub with your jars
it works like a charm
you made need multiple if you don't use something well insulated like a cooler
but then how hard is it insulate a rubbermaid tub? ;-)

id use a heat bomb but i usually have 30-40 jars per tub so im not sure if the heat bomb would be enough for such a large area.

hmm, i usually run 2 styrofoam coolers with 1 heatbomb a piece with about 10 or so jars max in each
haven't gotten the coldest of winter yet but i usually don't run the heat at night, probably hasn't gotten much colder than 60 degrees inside yet
but the temp inside the coolers stays around 77-80F
2 heatbombs in a well insulated tub should work alright
but if you've already got most of the stuff for the TiT then i would prolly suggest that route instead
a 500watt heater might be a bit much though
whatever you chose, make sure you keep a good eye on it for the first 48 hours and make sure to check for any problems with it regularly
