Heat causes evaporation...could be a part of your problem?

thanks man im a newbe so i dont know all the rules .im just freaking out cause its a new strain for me .i read a bunch it seems like i should be faning out more then once a day also but i never had problems wiht my other strains .but yea i know it will evaporat faster but you think that would stop my cakes from pinning ?i never used a heater last year but the house im in now gets down to 60-64f at night so i was thinking i should def use a heater i guess ill just wait and see what happens .

I've got one of those 3-drawer plastic storage bin things wrapped in plastic as a FC right now. The bottom drawer is perlite and the top 2 each have cakes. I stuck an aquarium heater in the perlite to heat up the FC, and it does pretty well although a bit uneven between the drawers with cakes. Evaporation is a slight problem, but I fan and mist 3 times a day (morning, after work, before bed) and spray the hell outta the perlite once a day (unless there's water standing of course).
So far so good. YMMV.
