A very painful mushroom trip..

alright, so im new here, and i have a crazy story that i wanted to throw out to the public. I've used acid a lot in the past, and have always been strait. but with shroom, i get very sick and dizzy, kinda like my body's falling apart. i guess it just doesnt work good with my body/mind. i dont know if its the shroom making me sick to feel this pain or its my mind creating this painful trip for me, but when i have a bad trip on shroom, its always the same trip, and its EXTREMELY painful.
I usually trip with my girlfriend, and we always have amazing trips when we do acid. but on shroom, we have this crazy mental trip where it feels like we can climb into each others minds and read each others thoughts in a way, kinda like combining trips. i know it sounds weird but somehow this actually works with us. but it felt like our thoughts would get tangled, kinda like thread, and when we tried to move or get up, we would feel large amounts of pain, like there were strings attached to us, ripping us apart. at one point when we were laying down together, it felt as if our bodies were mangled together by needle and thread. we both have tried to escape from this horrible trip, but it always seemed to make it worse when we made an effort. so the only thing there was to do was wait, and when we waited, it felt like needles were sewing us back together, and seeing this was so horrifying. also, i could see myself growing old, it was crazy. i could see my fingernails growing out real long and start to curl and my hair grow real long and turn white, along with my skin starting to hang off my bones. when this wound happen, it would usually repeat for about an hour or so. not only was this horrifying, but it felt like a troubled/evil spirit was playing a game with our minds. the first time i experienced this, i started screaming on the top of my lungs for about 5 minutes strait, feeling like i was in hell and alone for eternity, feeling sharp teeth biting at my rib cage. i was in so much pain it was unbelievable.
the last time i had done shroom, it felt like a demon climbed into me and i turned into this whole other person, something was talking to me and telling me to do horrible/destructive things to my friends/family. i thought i had murdered my girlfriend and my cousin who was staying with us at the time, i was having horrifying hallucinations, seeing visions of hell, black gates, and dancing spirits with long nails and pointy ears. this trip kept getting worse, so i ran outside and felt as if the end of the world had taken place and i was the Antichrist, and i could see myself taking over the world. i eventually returned back home, but when i got there, i thought that my parents were demons and my house was the center of hell, all my thoughts were completely twisted and backwards. i eventually woke up from this bad trip in the emergency room. feeling the stress of reality and realizing what had happened and where i was was sickening.
looking back on this really scares me. i mean, i am a very peaceful person and would never intend on hurting anyone around me, especially loved ones. its kinda like shroom turns on me, or maybe its spiritual, i guess i will never know(being that it is a hallucinogen after all) but i must say, even thou this will always haunt me, these experiences have made me into who i am today, and i feel like i can accomplish anything after making it thru these horrible trips.
Just wondering if anyone has felt physical pain in a trip b4 or had a bad spiritual trip similar to mine in any way.

I have had some bad discomfort around the stomach and a dull aching around the ribcage, but nothing as sever as you explain.
I think that maybe mushrooms dont agree with you. Stick with the acid.

that's an interesting image of you and your girlfriend being physically linked by telepathy and suffering physical pain when one of your stands up because the links get torn.

Was that a real emergency room or still part of the trip?

wow, thats definetely one of the stranger things i've heard, especially if you say it has happened more than once. i'm taking about the being sew together thing, not the rest.
i've meshed with things before, but it was always perceptual, i never had any pain from unwinding myself.
to be fair though, i have never felt sew onto anything, more like my mind twists into things...

The reason you think you can read her mind is because you know her so good, and you know how she thinks. That's not weird at all. But I would stick to acid most people like it more anyway.

i see what u mean, shroom can really bring people's emotions to life. and when you really love and care for someone, there's that connection, and i guess that came to life for us. the only thing i will never understand is why this only happens on shroom..

Yeah even before I ever tried shrooms I could read all my friends like a book, so then when you take shrooms certain things in your brain change and that connection can seem "real" at the time.

shrooms are a fucking heavy drug and rarely take you to where you think they are going to.
Just go with the flow, embrace the agonizing bizarity and painful wierdness associated with it, it makes the trips much easier.

I had a bad mushroom trip last time around, not as severe as yours but I had only done 2g and then boosted it with another gram. If I had done all that at once or more, I'm pretty sure I would have gotten to where you were so i should count my lucky stars I guess.
Since that trip, I decided to grow my own. I've never grown any plants in my life and I want to believe that with some TLC and the fact that I'm doing it myself, I'll earn my way into a better state of mind when I finally consume this molecule again and hope it's not gonna totally have it's way with me, chew me up and spit me out like the last time.. LOL!

You probably should not consume psychoactive mushrooms again then. Or possibly start with a much smaller dosage than you are used to. But mushrooms must not agree with you in some way I cannot fully describe. Trips like yours usually have a deeply profound message that you 1) cannot figure out what it is or 2) eventually figure out at a later time in your life when shit all goes to hell for you
These Shroom Trip Reports I read here simply amaze me sometimes.. how some people react to consuming psychoactive fungus is highly unpredictable.. people sometimes get offended when I say that maybe their imaginations and expectations of what eating an eighth of dried Cubes are a little bit too vivid for me to even believe fully. Please dont be offended by that.
I guess experience and tolerance and understanding with consuming mushrooms lessen the chances of finding yourself in a situation like yours that practically defies the boundries of what the mushrooms can do for each individual. In your situation, something very fucked up is going on.
True, if you eat a bunch of mushrooms, and i mean like 10 standard dosages you will find yourself in a scenario that defies anything that can be explained (and it usually is not a comfortable place, it is usually a feeling of being "poisoned") and it can be slightly painful i guess you could say, but if you eat an eighth of shrooms and think you are feeling the devil sinking his teeth into your chest and physically feel that pain than there is probably more to it that just the mushrooms you ate.
Try lowering your dosages, and if that doesnt work than try using something other than mushrooms for your psychedelic voyages, because what you describe sounds too fucked up to even want to repeat.

The part about you and your girlfriend actually sounds quite... beautiful. Two people who are romantically involved and know each other so well actually become one, and you can read each other's thoughts... I don't think you should have reason to be afraid of that..?
The rest sounds horrid, though, and I can relate, somewhat. On a mushroom trip once for me, I felt a lot of pain and I saw myself (and many others) die and go into the earth. I remember thinking I was never going to get up again, but someone said, "Let's go back to the fire," and suddenly I realized that I had to just release everything I had experienced, all my pain, and go to where I felt warm and safe.
I guess next time you want to make sure you stay away from the hospital unless you really physically hurt yourself. That's gotta be a horrid way to come down from a trip.
If you're going to try mushrooms again, I'd suggest using a lower dosage.
Better luck next time

Ok I just re-read your story after making my first reply.:)
People encounter demons and devils and evil things amist a heavy mushroom trip, on the other hand people also encounter angels and heavens and may even be standing at the pearly gates wondering if they can go inside.
It's pretty heavy stuff. I guess through your own experiences you have learned that mushrooms are not always a play-tool and they take you into seriously frightening situations, or even blissful situations..
I really do not no what to say about the pains you experienced. Possibly you are allergic to mushrooms in a very sensitive way. But it is not normal from what all I know. People report cramps and uncomfortable feelings, but never extreme pain like you describe.
I once camped on an indian reservation, and coragously ate about a dozen eighths of dried cultivated cubes.. needless to say things got really intense for me. It started off nice, it was life-changing, I heard music. It was the most beautiful music I had ever heard, and without a doubt in my mind it was angels playing that music. I asked my friend in the tent with me "do you hear that music? it's the most beautiful thing Ive ever heard!" my mouth was dropped down in complete amazement. My friend just said "no man, what are you talking about, you ate too many mushrooms." He did not hear it, but i did. It was music from heaven, there is no other explaination in my mind. I listened for at least 30 minutes, then it dissappeared and things became too out of hand, and I dont have the time to describe it all so I wont.
Long story short, I left my body and was standing at the pearly gates of heaven. They wouldnt let me in yet, so I wandered off into the scariest depths of the spirit world. Again, long story short, I ended up sitting at a table with the devil himself, ready to sign my soul away to him by giving him my signiture on a written agreement in my own blood. Sounds kinda corny but this shit really happened.
The thing is, I could never remember if I signed or not, I just remember all the sudden I was able to get up and out of my tent and felt so wonderful to be alive it was funny. I was 100% bemushroomed.
So I contacted my spiritual shroom advisor about this matter because I had a hard time making sense of the whole trip. He is an elder shroomer who knows his shit when it comes to massive dosages and shroom voyages beyond any explaination.
So I told him my story and all he said to me was "Are you still alive?". The question made me smile and laugh and re-assured myself a lot of my misunderstandings of my experience, and said "YES! Still Alive! :laughing more:".
So its really some heavy shit that I would never do again I don't think.
I have eaten the same amount of mushrooms or even more, and other species in very large dosages like this on many dozens of occassions trying to break through and visit these places, but I consider that story my only one "break through" on mushrooms. Other people eat 1.4 grams and have trip reports that just seem unrealistic, but, I suppose after a couple hundred shroom trips of my own, starting at low doses like that, I dont remember ever having off the wall things happening to me until I was able to consume heroic dosages.

i left some stuff out from my very 1st post cuz i didnt want to write a fucking book for this topic. its weird how shroom works for me. if im walking around in public, even outside at night, im always strait. the only time i feel imaginary needles and thread sewing me to my girlfriend is when we're sitting down somewhere or in bed together. but on acid, i have to sit and stare at something, and if i walk around, i get frightened. i know that on that last trip where i saw hell and gates and all that fun shit, i kept feeling like i was choking and also feeling like i was going to vomit. i know vomiting on shroom is somewhat normal (from what ive heard) but i could feel my throat swelling up and it was nearly impossible to breathe. the same thing was happening w/ my girlfriend. i know that shroom has made me dizzy b4 and a little sick, but this was the only time this has happened. we both only ate half an eighth and ive eaten a lot more than an eighth and never had this problem. but anyway, when i would see my girlfriend start to choke, i kept hallucinating a demon choking her. weird huh?
i just dont get why my shroom trips were usually based around hell and satan and demons and the whole needles and thread with the extreme pain, i mean ive done acid many, many times b4 and i was very experienced with using that drug no matter how much i took. and i enjoy shroom and the way everything looks and feels(at first), but it always feels like something evil steps in to play sick games with us. im even scared to touch acid again after this, because i would never want to have this happen to either of us ever again, or having anyone be harmed because of our state of mind. i donno i guess ill take a long break and think about it for a while.

how did you wind up in hospital? There should be a special name for bad trips which end up in hospital or jail.
