Grain colonizing slowly but surely

My five remaining Costa Rica jars colonizing well

Closeup of two Costa Rica jars

Four of my Chitwan jars.

Closeup of the very rhizomorphic Chitwan mycelium.

Doesn't look very rhizomorphic to me!

Well that jar may not be the shining beacon of rhizomorphic development, but in comparison to the Costa Rica, which is much more cottony, the Chitwan seems to be a lot more rhizomorphic.

My four jars of grain are fully colonized. I'm going to spawn them to coffee/coir tonight. I plan to case with coir/verm around Tuesday or Wednesday.
I have had no other problems with contamination in my remaining eleven jars, and about 5 look to be fully colonized with the others at about 95%. When they are all done, I am going to put them in a shotgun FC with perlite.
I got some rye berries yesterday at my friendly neighborhood hippie grocery store, and they will be my next project. With one of the jars I will attempt a G2G transfer.
I'll post some pics as soon as I get to a Kodak moment.

I'm about to start my first grow using pf tec/b+ as well, where did you buy the first b+ spore syringe from? maybe they where the reason you had no signs of growth, bunk spores??

I bought my first syringes from SporeStore and had zero results. I am actually not cultivating B+ at this time. I purchased my next syringes from SporeWorks. My BRF jars are Chitwan and Costa Rica and my WBS jars are Mazatapec and Malabar.
I just got some Hawaiian and Penis Envy syringes in the other day. I'm going to experiment with making a LC.

I spawned WBS to cpoo/verm about a week ago. I used one quart jar per 16 qt container. Each container probably only has about 10 quarts of substrate in it? Could that be the reason for the slow colonization time? I poked a few holes in the lids for these containers and covered with micropore tape, because I was afraid gas exchange may have been the problem.
I'm going to prepare some more grain and try a G2G transfer to get some more grain to try out a few other methods in the coming weeks. I've also started preparing my shotgun FC that I'm going to use with my cakes, which are all fully colonized now. I'm not going to birth them for a few days to make sure the mycelium has a good grip on the sub. I plan to dunk/roll the cakes after birthing.

1:10 is a really high ratio, the generally accepted rule and that which I strive for is 1:4 spawn:sub. Your cakes sound like they are doing well though, they should pull through for you. Be sure to make prints!

I was going a little skimpy because when I did my first batch of grain, I only had two jars of two different strains, and I wanted to use the extra jar of each for G2G practice. Next time, I'll lay it on a little thicker.
I'll post some pictures as soon after the next picture-worthy occurrence.

Not being too familiar with growing, I would appreciate any input as to whether or not the spots in the lower pictures are cobweb mold or mycelium. If it is cobweb, is misting with peroxide the best way to subside the growth? If so, does the peroxide need to be diluted?
Thank you for your help.

My first flush from one cake!
I know it's not a lot (19 grams wet), but for a project that started on 11/26/07 and has almost seen failure a few times, I'm glad to have anything from it.
I've got pins on three more of my cakes. There are seven other cakes that have yet to pin, but I've got pinning conditions in place. I've got light on them 12 on/12 off and they are getting tons of FAE.
