Temperature, air exchange, and lighting in my FC.

It's really cold where I live and its especially cold in my bedroom, because of this I have to cover my FC with blankets and use a fish tank heater to keep it in the 74-78F range. How cold can it get in there before it becomes a problem? But because it is covered with blankets it makes it hard to have FAE, I'm using perlite and having no problem with humidity. If I were to just open the FC and fan it out and then use a spray bottle to replace the lost humidity, would that be sufficient? Also, how many times per day would I need to do that? As for lighting would it be safe to put a light directly in the fruiting chamber? Again, the blankets make it difficult to give light through the window on top without sacrificing temperature. Thanks!

Assuming you're birthing brf cakes of cubensis, the temp. should be between 70-75F. You can see that in the growfaqs, as for the air exchange I would be fanning it at least 4 times a day in the case of a FC with almost no constant circulation. Good luck

Walmart has a polished, aluminum reflective work light in the $9 price range.
You can drill little holes in the reflector's lip and mount it directly (with little nuts and machine screws) to the outside of your Plexiglas.
I used little 'stand-offs' to get a little clearance between the reflector and the plexi (for CFL bulb clearance and to dissipate heat).
It is very solid, secure ...... throw your blankets right over the top. Nothing moves.
If you are careful, you could even find a natural daylight incandescent bulb that will put out more heat and assist in your warming issues.

Here is a photo of the reflector attached to a piece of Plexiglas ..... then, obviously, the plexi will be attached to the top of the FC.
Good luck.

Also .... I see that you have FAE issues .....
If you like fabricating stuff, you could do an ultrsonic 'mist maker' in a reservoir (Agar has a tek and there are numerous posts) or do it in a 'coolmist' that would provide automated FAE and humidity.
Below is a photo of an automated FAE/ humidity resrvoir under construction (couple of lid fan ideas). I am doing two short duration timers, one on the ultrasonic and the other on the fan. Idea is .... ultrasonic humidifier goes on at the same time as the fan .... fan air pushes the humidity into your FC ..... then the ultrasonic mist maker turns off .... but the fan continues of a short time to aid in evaporative FAE (the little ultrasonics put out lots of humidity and you may need the fan on a little longer to dry thing out a bit).
Also another view of the reflective light housing mounted on the plexi that I think would work for you.

Have fun, be safe.

My FC runs between 65 and 72 and I haven't had any problems. Its not ideal but it still does its thing.

Yeah, when my FC chamber is in my bedroom cupboard during the day incase of any surprise visits by parents etc, the temps drop to 58F, then at night it comes back out into 66-70F. No problems appart from fruiting takes slightly longer .
