In 1966, Mao Tse Tung launched the cultural revolution, which, among other things, sought to rid China of religion. While he used rather extreme measures to pursue this noble cause, the results were surely worth it. Today, China is a secular society, and as such has achieved political freedom, no drug laws, and might be a completely rational and enlightened society if not for those irrational,oppressive mystic-heads in Tibet.

Oh, wait...

Bravo! You have discovered that there are many forms of irrationality in addition to religion (such as cult of personality and abuse of power).

Spinning prayer wheels a zillion times in order to affect social change is evidence of clear thought?

Rationality in -> rationality out.

Irrationality in -> irrationality out.

Reminds me - some Mongolian Beef take-out sounds good right about now.

Righto. Actually religion is one step removed from the basic irrationality of humanity. Just one of it's many pretty faces.
