I just checked my incubator and 2 of my cakes are pretty much fully colonized. Some of my other cakes are starting to look a little weird. They are colonizing but the substrate is starting to sort "shrink" or pull away from the sides of the jars. Also, I flipped the jars and at the bottom of one there are some water droplets and the bottom. They just started looking weird over night. Is this normal or is there a problem? I will try to get up pictures tomorrow.

They're fine, don't worry.

They're fine. They shrink as they colonize as the mycelium pulls all the stuff together.

Do not inject water, this is just a risk for contamination. Wait for full colinisation then dunk and roll to rehydrate.
