gas exchange in jars???

this may sound stupid but i was reading a post and someone was talking about gas exchange. do the jars need to be able to breath for gas exchange? I inoculated my jars 3 days ago and have the lids on tight should i loosen them or what? they are PF tek. Help!!

S'Okay. You've obviously done some reading and gas exchange in jars is a very complicated subject. Some people say you need CO2 in the jars to promote healthy mycelial growth. Some say you need FAE to promote healthy mycelium. Some people are still on the fence like me :smile:. I've just got my mycelium to colonize my jars and it looks like it's going good :smile:. Got any questions that need immediate answering post em or pm me. But try the search function first. There are literally thousands of threads. Many thousands. I'm usually on the interwebs. :smile:
