Longest lasting method for future grows?
    #7683126 - 11/26/07 07:17 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

I just more or less finished my first grow of pftek BRF, and there are some B+ cakes in the FC and some GT jars in the incubator. I want to eventually move on to pftek with grains for better yeilds, but as soon as these are done im going to pack up my project for a while until I find a better place for it.

I was wondering, whats the longest lasting way to preserve my best specimens for future grows? Spore prints, will those last atleast a year? Or must I clone onto agar and keep that in the fridge? I'm looking for something easy to do like a spore print, but that will last for a year or longer when I decide to restart my growing with grains.

I got my first print about 2 years ago... Let the print in a bag on the shelf. Hydrated it for a few days and then shot up some LC and it worked...

Depending on how long your going to wait I would say either make a print or order another spore syringe from a vendor

If I make a print of a nice specimen, im going to be better off for my next grow than buying a syringe from a vendor again right? not to mention id like to patronize these vendors as little as possible
