Got an AA from a yard sale but it will not hold a seal

I have used AA in the past, it is a AA921 w/ toggle. It will nit hold pressure on the one side.
I tried w grease, w/o grease, the lid rotated one peg to the right, tried the lid backwards..... It will not seal and it leaks in the same place every time so I know it is the bottom half.
Is there any place people like me can take a PC to to get it maybe re-cut?
I have never had this problem before so I am hoping someone here can help me.... Thanks

Contact manufacturers at inquiries@wafco.com, don't mention you bought it second hand (say it was your mums or something) and ask what can be done.
Maybe they will offer to replace it if they have a lifetime warranty or something like that.

You can take it to a machine shop. They can refinish the edges of the body and lid for a flush fit.

Has a pressure release valve so I doubt it is under any warranty....

Yes, or "tool and die" shop.

Ok I found a few machine shops in my town, going to call and ask if they can re-finish the inner and outer edge of the PC bowl and lid?

I wouldn't even waste your time at a machine shop. You're talking about a cooker that can be had for about $170 plus shipping. I don't know if a machine shop would even be equipped to handle what you may need. Polishing would certainly be a factor, but cutting is a whole other issue.
I do know that WAFCO (ALL-American) sells the bottom units separately and would likely cost you less than costs to machine the cooker. Just some food for thought.
Aside from all this, assuming nothing pans out for you, I happen to have a friend who may be looking to get rid of his 921 or his 930. I'll check with him and get back to you if that interests you. Let me know.

I had mine turned at a local machine shop for $45. I dropped it off one morning, and picked it up the two afternoons later.
But you're right, it would be quicker and cheaper to find, buy, and ship a replacement.
I think the idea is at least worth a phone call.

Yeah. In a lot of big machine shops, which is what it's probably going to take to chuck onto that PC, for a one time job like this, depending on who owns it, could be all the way from free to $120/hr. Parents owned a machine shop and it was $60/hr to get you in the door much less on a machine .

Thanks Wronguy, send me a PM if your friend decides to sell either.
I am going to call around tomorrow but the more I think about it, I might just sell it on ebay as is....
