I have been clean for 2 years and feel like I need a fix
    #7683083 - 11/26/07 07:06 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

I was a junkey for about 4 years and I have not had a hit in about two years now, but for the past week all I can think about is scoring again....

Has anyone else had this problem?

I don't think I have taken anything to trigger my cravings, I don't want to relapse but I can not concentrate on work or anything else.....

That's rough! I'm probably not the most helpful person in the universe as I've never struggled with any serious addictions, but I wish you the best in fighting this craving!

My father is a severe alcoholic who hasn't had a drop to drink in 22 years. He knows that if he ever touches it again he'll not be able to stop until the day he dies, and he craves it everyday, yet manages to say no every single time he is tempted. It's not a pleasant thing to experience, but he gets a lot of pride and strength out of beating his addiction. It's difficult, but think about how good it feels to be strong. Scoring again is not going to help- it won't stop the cravings, it will only make them return more fully. But you already know this I'm sure...

Good luck.

I thank you for your input, trust me it is hell I am going through right now....

I think I need a good trip to get the cobwebs out of my head and see if that would help center me....

It's not worth it, AT ALL, you've stayed off it for two years, you have the strength to stay off it even longer.

i wish you the best in staying away from that shit

Hey man, relapses happen. If you were already a junky for several years you already know junk is shitty, the stuff sucks, it just makes people sick. Sounds like you're doing a good job so far. Honestly, if you shot up a hit it probably wouldnt make you feel as good as you've been thinking lately. Your idea of thinking you need it lately is just a distortion, a fucking illusion. An illusion.

Anyways, relapses happen. I can tell you one thing for sure tho, is that if you do relapse it wont feel as good as it did for you several years ago. Never does. Those days are long gone for you, unless you plan on just going back to using daily again, fucking up your life again, and being sick, broke, lose your job, sell everything you own now, steal, get thrown in jail, then sentenced to rehab..

Its an interesting lifestyle at times for sure, but you've probably already experienced it enough in the past to know better.

Relapses happen sure. Which isnt always all too bad, unless you actually enjoy the relapse and start to get hooked again, which is the dangerous part Im sure you want to avoid.

Smoke some green. It will help with the cravings. You seriously might want to look into ibogaine. It seems to cure addiction. If you were to dose during your cravings, that would be best.

Don't do it.. it's normal for it to come up in your mind after not doing it
