I need some guidance...So i tried making my third batch of cakes. This time i went and bought new jars because my second batch was pretty nasty looking didn't even want to open the jars. This time I couldn't get B rice flour so i used cornmeal and branflour both of which were organic. Rigged it all up and sterilized in the PC. I used liquid cultures. This is where i think i went wrong i had these old spore syringes, i thought it would be ok to reuse them, i sterilized emm in the PC for quite a while 45 mins from boiling i think it was. Before i sucked LC outta their jars i sprayed em with bleach and let sit inside a large plastic bag and then did it up. also innoced inside a glove box. Now the jars are nasty inside some are gros grey puffy, some nasty green shit, LIke WTF. So im kinda confused, im guessing it musta been the syringes, i don't think my LCs are contaminated, no black shit inside emm.
This next round im just gonna use spore syringes. But where is the best place to order unused syringes from that takes cash...in the mail...they don't sell around here in drugstores. i don't wanna call quits to my LC i have some nice ones, and i just received some lovely spore prints Thank you lovely people here. Spore prints on tinfoil what is the best way to utilize emm?

you could find a local hobby shop and ask for an 'epoxy syringe'
the ones i scored were $1.89 and were 12cc, they also came with two 1 1/2 inch 18 gauge needles.
good luck man

Try a vet! They have tons around, they feed sick animals with them. Obiviously a new one. Just say you have a sick cat and would love to buy a couple from them.

So your jars only contamed in the area where you shot solution in to them? From the way you explain pressure cooking, you dont know how to properly use it. I have used old spore syringes to make LC syringes not even using a glove box, just a lighter, and some hand sanitizer. No contams for me. I would look in to how to use a pressure cooker. You dont just get it boiling. Boiling water does nothing to kill contams. There is nothing wrong with the syringes you have if you pc them in tinfoil, and dont take them out till you are ready to use them. Putting them in a bag with bleach or whatever is just hanlding them more than you need to. Just PC in foil, and dont open them until you are ready to use them. Then flame sterilize directly after.
