TiT as FC, where to drill FAE holes?

After looking around for the best possible setup, I decided on a TiT method usually used for incubators, as my FC. Obviously I can't drill holes on the bottom and lower sides of the tubs so I was wondering what would be the best place to drill FEA holes?
I'm gonna have to fan the FC to release the CO2 buildup obviously, and want to still drill holes on all sides (upper part of tub) and on the lid. Any comments, suggestions? I did a search for this and this method has been used before but the pics were missing in all posts I found as they are older. Anyone use something like this successfully?
Also, both tubs are 100L and transparent to let light thru so 12/12 won't be a problem, will still use perlite for humidity, will I still be able to maintain over 90% RH with no holes on the bottom and lower sides of the tub?
Thanks!

just use one tub
get some perlite and use RR's shotgun FC tek
the TiT method is used for incubating, the reason you put water into the outer tub is so that it's not dry heat
you don't heat an FC, you heat the room it's in
standing water anywhere near your FC is asking for trouble
in all honesty i really just don't understand why you want to use 2 tubs

If your using the TiT ... i would suggest getting fae from outside the tub.. why not hook up an aquarium pump to force fresh air into your FC and then you don't have to worry so much about co2 build up. Just use your holes at the top and run the air tubing through the lid or something.

The room's constantly @ ~65F so I need to heat the FC. Heating the room itself is not an option and it's not practical or safe to use a heater blanket or a heating pad under the FC.
I'm not worried about standing water as i'll be sealing off the edges where both tubs meet. I was just wondering if there will be sufficient FEA with no holes under the tub and just on the lid and 4 upper sides and I'll have to fan it every so often.
I guess if you want to reduce it even further, the question is, can I get away with no holes under the tub?

The outer tub contains water and submersible heater which keeps the FC above warm. Isn't that how TiT works?

65F is fine for an FC
you really shouldn't heat an FC you're just asking for contams

Thanks, I read that somewhere and it totally slipped my mind. Exactly what I need with this setup.

Yea, I hear ya, but I don't want the mushroom to take a month to grow because of low temps (i thought it had to be 72-74F) and also as the weather gets colder, the ambient temp in the room will most definitely get colder still so I'm just trying to find a long term solution...
Sucks living in the upper East Coast and not saying you, but I HATE it when others say "room temp is fine" when it's very subjective. What if you live by the equator or Alaska? I mean, c'mon!

65 is gonna slow things down in my opinion.. ive grown mushrooms at 65 and they didnt get nearly as big as when the ambient temp was mid 70's.. i managed to keep my temps up by using a low wattage heat lamp bulb in my closet at night and ive noticed improved results.
i was considering TiT too because its not getting any warmer where i am and if im constantly cold im my room.. then the mushrooms are probably cold too and we cant have that

theres the aquarium pump for ya man.. sounds like you have it under control now

Her0: is that the Tetra Whisper series air pump? How big should it be to move air in an 100L (106QT) tub?

yea man.. i bought the tetra whisper 40.. it moves more than enough air for the big rubbermaid i have it in right now and its really quiet.. as for a 100L im not too sure.. but i know there are volume charts to show what you would normally require if you were using it for an aquarium. Cant seem to find it right now though.

closets are easy to keep warm with a space heater that has a built-in-thermometer.

I think if the TiT is built well and designed to work... i will work. Let the man have some fun.. building interesting and testing unorthodox FC's would be my dream job.

My FC has a layer of expanded clay pellets in the bottom. I put an aquarium bubbler and an aquarium heater under the pellets, and just enough peroxidated water to cover them. Drilled a bunch of teeny holes in the lid. Works fine and I'm in a high desert environment (cold and dry). I will say that eventually I quit using the aquarium heater, I didn't feel it accelerated growth but ymmv.

Foaf uses a TiT with holes drilled every inch or so around the top of the inner container. about a inch down from the top, air pump hooked up wands under perlite, he dosent have to many problems with contams, ....
