Anybody have any good recipes for the cuban dish Ropa Vieja? Means old clothes lol...
I'm pretty sure it's a beef-ish dish that's pulled, hence the name. Recipes?

Hate to break it to you pal, but this here is the internet.

means that i am hoping that somebody will post a home-made recipe. like a family recipe. i don't want a generic recipe. if i wanted any ol' recipe, i'd google it. no, i'm waiting for a traditional, passed-down recipe (if possible).

Sounds like my regular pot roast recipe minus the liptions onion soup, add green bell pepper.
I make this sort of thing all the time.
Here is how I would make it..
1 can chicken broth Yah, I said chicken broth.
3lb chuck roast cut into 4. 1 onion, lots of garlic 1.5 green bell pepper a cup of carrots a cup of celery tbsp sugar a but of itallian seasionings some cumin and a toutch of poultry seasionings of course some nutmeg. 1 to 2 cups water
300 degree oven for 4 hours minimum. 6 hours would be right.
Shread the beef and serve with mango coleslaw and cornbread.
