How long untill the Gov. starts planting in animals?

I was sitting around watching the cats stare at what i was doing and it got me thinking...Is it really that far fetched to think that the government may plant "bugs" in your house pets? Maybe visual maybe audio...Let your cat out for the night some tigglers grab it really quick implant something under the arm and send it on its way.
Sure it would cost some money but we're just printing up more and more money getting further in "debt" so whats the cost matter..

You're high, aren't you? I do not believe that you have even a basic understanding of economics.

If you don't think the government has detailed files on all of you and your habits, you're wrong. Sniff around the right places and you'll find what I know.

lol, good point..almost sounds like something a creepo would do rather than the Gov.. However maybe they stake out dr00g houses for weeks get to know the animals and plant. I'm not a very paranoid person, i was just thinking..

And where do I start? They don't have the resources. The idea that the government has some secret database with all of our habits is ludicrous. They only collect information on people that directly threaten their establishment, not a bunch of college hippies.

They'll fall eventually, that much is certain. I just don't see the point in being paranoid about the government. They aren't the all powerful organization with unlimited resources that many of you think they are. Thats all I'm saying.

He's right, that is RIDICULOUS to think the government is that powerful. I think only a 12 year old would think like that?

Well, Captain Crap,
I want you to know that I too have had this thought. So like Moth suggested, if you and I have conceived this thought, the government probably has too. When I was 14 (before I smoked or drank, etc.), I used to joke around saying that my dog was actually a video camera from Bill Gates because all my good ideas were showing up everywhere. For example, once I wore a paperclip in my hair to keep it back, and a month later, I saw paperclip-style bobbypins in the store. There were a few other things like this I saw happen, all around the time I got my dog. So even though I was joking, I did somewhat believe myself and didn't exactly doubt the idea would become true (if it wasn't already).
Recently, I was talking with my mom's friend who works closely with animals and helped a lot of pets find their owners after Hurricane Katrina. He told me that it is a common thing already to put GPS-like systems in your pet, so that if they run away, you know where they are. He also said that there are some children with this device, too. In dogs, they just insert the chip right under the skin on their leg, and they supposedly don't feel it, and supposedly can't scratch it out. Implant your pet with a Microchip
Microchipping Kids and Corpses
So, in my opinion, it's not so far-fetched to think that the government will start putting listening devices in dogs, cats, and even children.

I don't see how you correlate pet owners putting global positioning devices on their pets with anything. That just doesn't make any sense. That is some serious tinfoil hat shit right there.

Thankyou Moth and Vita for getting what im saying and having useful words.

We're just saying it's within their means to boobytrap your pets if they choose to.
