im going to stick by my trich theory.
reasons:
it pretty much popped up overnight.
the knots on the other parts of the casing were only tiny tiny dots.
it was brilliant bright white. brighter than the rest of the myc

-------------------- Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

Doesn't look like any trich I've ever had. Growth like that, (if it was a contam), would turn out to be black mold, (MUCOR). Penicillium mold can be like that, but not trichoderma. I think you're fine.

Well... if it popped up over night....
Wait and see. get it outside at teh first sign of sporulation.
It does look more like mold mycelium than mushroom mycelium to me, but I'm not certain.

Yea, it was trich, I cut it out and salted it, but found a few days later that it was inside most of the casing. o, well. you can't win em all.

what are you talking about. That sure didnt look or act like trich. It woud have turned green and powdery within a day which it didnt

Nope. That photo has rhizomorphs. Mold mycelium is more blobby/lumpy, as in the photo in the original post.

I had trich mold that looked just like that. Took over a day to sporelate.
