Creative thinking.

If you all realize that we are simply being creative in our thoughts and writtings.
Reincarnation, god, heaven, hell. etc. etc. etc.
You do have to realize that these thoughts are mere inventions of the mind. We created reincarnation and god and heaven and hell.
I call these things creative thought. Takes a bit of imagination to believe in such things.
I don't know only if i could explain in more detail.
Add to this please.

so the idea that when you die your energy leaves your body and goes somewhere else isnt plausible in any way to you guys?

the sun does not produce purely electrical energy. isnt it electromagnetic?so how is our energy actually be the sun's, granted there would be no life without the sun.

There is more than electrical energy. There is energy contained in the atoms making up the sun. The substance for your body was made in the furnace of the sun.

i already said that there would be no life without the sun so that doesnt need to be explained. i realize that we are of the sun but my question is about the electrical energy within our bodies, if it cannot be destroyed and you dont think it goes anywhere, then what do you think happens to it?

Well, to be truthful, we are the sun, but it is simply a question of where you wish to draw an arbitrary line.
What happens with the energy that flows through your computer's processor? Aspects of reality interact and energy is transferred. Energy interacting with energy. What happens to light that is filtered through the blinds hanging over a window?
"Our" energy is released.

energy The physical capacity for doing work. Nearly all our energy derives from the sun, and technical progress has reflected more and more sophisticated uses of energy, from wind and water, through fossil fuels, to nuclear power.
that is ENERGY. now if you have another definition of energy i would like to hear it. but as far as i can tell, that energy has nothing to do with YOU. i believe that every person is a bunch of neurons connected together in their brain. when you die these neuron firings are done. so any trace of YOU is gone.

I'd suggest to you that the existence of a person isn't bound simply by this physical body. The idea that all trace of a person is gone when they physically die belies the influence their existence has exerted on existence as a whole. We are facilitators of the course of reality. We are cause and effect.
Identity is what you make of it.

Well, if that is what you associate identity with, then I think it is fair to state that only half of you will live forever, and, with each successive generation, progressively less of you will live forever.
As the legend goes, Jesus Christ never had children (he was a homosexual), and he's lived for thousands of years now...

You do have to realize that these thoughts are mere inventions of the mind. We created reincarnation and god and heaven and hell.
I call these things creative thought. Takes a bit of imagination to believe in such things.
I don't know only if i could explain in more detail.
Add to this please.
Peace, Droz
We must realize that though our capacity to create is unlimited, we can choose to "create" illusions instead. This is how we can give false belief that sex is like heaven. How could something so temporary and something bound by time be anything at all like heaven?
Anything that decays or is destroyed or withered away by time or space CAN NOT be what heaven is. For heaven to have any meaning it must be eternal.
True creative thinking then, is thinking with the eternal. Anything other then that must be illusion by the definition that it is not true. And how can anything that is not forever lasting be true at all?

what do you mean energy is lost? lost where, what are you talking about?
-------------------- Man is timid and apologetic; he is no longer upright; he dares not say "I think," "I am," but quotes some saint or sage. He is ashamed before the blade of grass or the blowing rose.Man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future. He cannot be happy and strong until he too lives with nature in the present, above time TRANSCEND
