ZOMG KEVIN RUDD IS THE PRIME MINISTER OF OUR COUNTRY!

When I voted, I did it in roman numerals just to piss off the retards in the polling stations. Then I scrunched up my ballot paper into a half-arsed effort of a paper ball and fisted it into the ballot box and tore the hole on it as well.
Fuck voting. Fuck politics.

god damn labor and the rest

Would the votes really make a difference though,
I leaning towards the idea that, even if we all voted greens they still wouldn't get in because "they" do not want them in. Doesn't fit the agenda. Not the current one anyway.

as much as it seems like that, this is a still a democracy, and our votes do count, we are not America yet, the greens just needed a few seats in parliament to influence government decisions (9% of votes, they got 7.8%), one example of this being the pulp mill in Tasmania.
i sure as hell dont want australia to end up like america, and the only way this is going to happen is if our generation takes action, instead of being lazy stoners, and watching our 'elders' fuck it up for us.

To be honest, I think a lot of the Greens' policies do let them down. They are a little bit too outspoken with a lot of their policies on touchy subjects which should probably be kept a little quieter... not necessarily secret though.
But their policies on environmental issues are the most important thing, and I think what a lot of people in this state, or maybe even the country, should be harshly considering considering the environmental position the world is in these days.

Don't start with that conspiracy rubbish, if the Greens had the support they'd be in power, simple as that. The truth is though they're a single issue party and they'll never get popular support. Their best hope of making a difference is by forming a mjority in the Senate with Labor or against Labor. And that's exactly what they'll do. Gunns and workchoices would never have made it through if the coalition hadn't had a majority in the senate.
alpha you're just an idiot.

well now under your great leader and party you can always quit and work for the dole, thats a good labor policy, last time they were in,one of the jobs on offer for $300 a fortnight was laying concrete pavers
150 a week to bust your back laying concrete when the going award rate was $30 an hour back then!?
are the rudds behind work for the dole rorts?
do you like going on strike?
when labor tries to take away your 'travelling to work and home' compo like they did in the 80's will you like that?
mmmm sharing that wealth like they always do
the sunday telegraph printed the winning grin of rudd at 2am,about 10 pages in was a little article about 'paul keating park'in bankstown
it was just given $380,000 to ressurect the park in keatings the failures honour, screw the hospitals with no beds and un-airconditoned school booxes used as classrooms
are you ready for major road works to fix unbroken roads and roundabouts on every intersection in the month before june 1st?
ofcourse these road work labourers will be work for the dole slaves
give the worker a dollar and take two dollars back by raising bread and milk
the labor way tried and true
tafe...'hey let us overqualify you for a job that doesnt exist' pffffft
you people got played again,im just sorry i will have to suffer because of you

Not much of a policy i don't think. Basically drugs are bad Mkay and ice is like really bad Mkay.
Quote:
Australia needs new ideas and fresh thinking when it comes to dealing with critical and continuing problems such as drugs and crime.
But our response must be tough, targeted and evidence-based.
...
Federal Labor will:
· Work to ban the importation of ice pipes and other drug paraphernalia under the Customs Act. (At present there is no such ban.)
· Work with State and Territory governments to make it a criminal act to sell pseudoephedrine to minors. (Pseudoephedrine is a major ingredient in speed and ice.)
· Work to restrict or ban the sale of pseudoephedrine over the internet and other controls; · Extend the special reference to the Australian Crime Commission on Amphetamines and other Synthetic Drugs (AOSD) which expired on December 31, 2006 to conduct a national full-scale investigation into the criminals engaged in the manufacture of ICE, the sale of ICE and the use of ICE; and
· Tailor existing national education programs on illicit drug use – targeting young people and ICE.
The spread of illicit drug use only serves to increase crime rates, destroy families and place added pressure on our police forces and health care providers.
The Federal Government must take a strong, active role in combating the scourge of ICE and other illicit drugs.
Due to the Federal Government’s failure to prepare a comprehensive long-term plan, the ICE situation in Australia will worsen.
*As of January 1, 2006, pseudoephedrine was scheduled as “Pharmacist Only Medicines – Schedule 3” – meaning every transaction involving the sale of pseudoephedrine to the public must be recorded and identification provided. They are also kept behind the counter.
In addition Labor congratulated the Pharmacy Guild on the proactive work it has done to combat the Ice epidemic through Project STOP.

ok liberal started the attack on the blf because the union was too powerful, filthy rich and man it was good working on site in those days when we really had rights
read how labor latched onto a good thing(in governments eyes)in the first paragraph
you read it,i lived it
i remember the bwiu and how they started hiring foreign fucking scabs to join the new union because the old blf members wouldnt
seeing the bwiu scabs scatter when trenchcoat wearing thugs came on some sites to baseball bat them for joining the new bwiu was hilarious
then your generation that knows everything came along
