ZOMG KEVIN RUDD IS THE PRIME MINISTER OF OUR COUNTRY!

When I voted, I did it in roman numerals just to piss off the retards in the polling stations. Then I scrunched up my ballot paper into a half-arsed effort of a paper ball and fisted it into the ballot box and tore the hole on it as well.
Fuck voting. Fuck politics.

Didn't vote, like you said. FUCK VOTING.
Like it makes a difference anyway... Illusion of choice.

Would the votes really make a difference though,
I leaning towards the idea that, even if we all voted greens they still wouldn't get in because "they" do not want them in. Doesn't fit the agenda. Not the current one anyway.

as much as it seems like that, this is a still a democracy, and our votes do count, we are not America yet, the greens just needed a few seats in parliament to influence government decisions (9% of votes, they got 7.8%), one example of this being the pulp mill in Tasmania.
i sure as hell dont want australia to end up like america, and the only way this is going to happen is if our generation takes action, instead of being lazy stoners, and watching our 'elders' fuck it up for us.

Man the fucking shit that's been coming out of the Timber Communities Assoc. about the Greens and their 'lies about the pulp mill' is fucking bullshit. All these ignorant rednecks saying "but what about the jobs?" its stupid fucking shit like that that makes me hate politics.

To be honest, I think a lot of the Greens' policies do let them down. They are a little bit too outspoken with a lot of their policies on touchy subjects which should probably be kept a little quieter... not necessarily secret though.
But their policies on environmental issues are the most important thing, and I think what a lot of people in this state, or maybe even the country, should be harshly considering considering the environmental position the world is in these days.

Don't start with that conspiracy rubbish, if the Greens had the support they'd be in power, simple as that. The truth is though they're a single issue party and they'll never get popular support. Their best hope of making a difference is by forming a mjority in the Senate with Labor or against Labor. And that's exactly what they'll do. Gunns and workchoices would never have made it through if the coalition hadn't had a majority in the senate.
alpha you're just an idiot.
