Storing cakes for a couple of days

My parents are about to visit me and I do not want them to find out about my hobby. So I wondered how and where I can store my fully colonized cakes for some time. The cakes already produced some shrooms. I'm thinking of storing them in a clean plastic box that can be put in a place they won't enter. Would that work and most importantly: how long can you store a cake that way (it should be 1-3 days).

If you do want them to find out why should you hide them?
Also, has the cake produced shrooms and been picked or are there shrooms on the cake atm? Will they be mature before your parents come.
It is different storing cakes with no shrooms on to cakes with shrooms on.

Oops, I meant "I do not want them to find out about my new hobby". I've corrected the original post.

The cakes already produced some shrooms and there are no shrooms left on the cake anymore, iow the shrooms have been picked.

You haven't met my nosy mother yet... she looks everywhere and demands an explanation for any item I bought. The terrarium is an old aquarium BTW. Throwing a blanket over it is too risky. No, I really need to take the cakes out, clean the aquarium thoroughly and hide the cakes somewhere in a box or so.

160f would be better.check this for an easy method->
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/5824391#Post5824391 pasteurizing casing+b/subs
i should add that this method works for both bulk substrate and casing.
as for hiding your grow, how about a nice patterned "throw" with some ornaments on top.
