Look harder in the wood chips with confidence. Indicators both Hypholoma aurantiaca and or Strophraia ambigua.

What's that lacey-looking plant there?
It looks like Herb robert. A very invasive non native that sucks ass! I hate it. i do habitat restoration and this one is on my top five list of worst invasives.

That doesn't look like herb robert to me. Doesn't it have pink flowers year round or something? Anyway... if those cyanescens smell like dirty foot and rotten rye, then that could very well be herb robert there.

Don't ask for hook ups. It's poor form. Also violates the forum rules. But anyway... Good luck and I hope you find some. There's still some patches fruiting away right now.

you should get one of those new "scratch and sniff" computer screens. They rule.

It does look a little different than herb robert, but also it looks a little similar. I am sure now looking at this picture that its not herb robert.

I found another patch. Its bigger. But the lack of rain and cold temps has dried all of the fruits out. But it is still another patch. Last week nothing now three patches! When it rains it pours.

Habitat. look how big it is!
Its in this little rich neighborhood on a quiet little road. I wonder what people are thinking when they drive by and see me so very interested in something there on the ground?

what a pleasent surprise!
i just went to my patch to water the area. we are not getting too much rain so i wanted to try and help preserve the mushies that are still alive and thriving.
i took a big 2 gallon jug of water and just basically watered the mushies like plants
but when i went back today i was caught off gaurd by a pleasent surprise! there are a TON of new pins that i saw while watering today! i'm thinking when i go back to harvest in a few days i will come up with a good 4-5 pounds fresh!
the season aint over yet people!

Ganzig, I know where that is! I remember seeing that when they put new bark chips in a couple years ago, I made a mental note to check it out later, but never did. I'll forget about it and let you enjoy it, congrats!

Hit up the wood chip bed that I'm near, things don't look right. Is this discoloration, and lack of vascidity due to the cold weather, and or freeze we got a couple days back, or am i not looking at what i thought was the pin patch from heaven a day or two before the freeze? Colors where off, undulation of margins are off, no bluing, and pins seem to have stopped in there own efforts to mature. Oddly enough, i got one that was of good size, but the cap was all pale white, and stipe was dry, so would not blue. But the undulating was good.

was thinking about going to Astoria this weekend, but thinking may have been too cold for active growth. Yes?
