    #7672597 - 11/23/07 09:19 PM (16 years, 2 months ago)

So i found a couple of these in the northwest out in the woods today. I also found one similar a while back that is currently dried up and potentially ready for consumption. The spore prints came out blackish but im still a little unsure.

Habitat: All by itself in the woods

Gills: Blue/Purple

Stem: Glossy white. Yellowish tint.

Cap: Umbonate and yellow.

Spore print: Black/Blue

Bruising: None

Location: North of Washington

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

grasshopa, was the stem easy to snap, or a bit tough to break in two?

Azures bruise extremely blue to almost indigo/black. (hence the name 'azurescens' ..)
This quickly rules out all non blue bruising mushrooms you might find being azures.
