Anyone tried this stuff? I started doing some research and apparently, it's not a scam. Or is it?

I doubt it's a scam. But i also doubt it worth it. You'l have your work cut out for you, and get payed shit for it.

Apparently it's like pulling teeth to actually get paid. I wouldn't waste my time, but hey... maybe I'm missing a magical secret way to get rich, just because I'm cynical.

The ones you do in person aren't so bad. My friend got $75 for telling Texas insturments what looked more appealing and what didn't for about 2 hours.

I used to do ones, where'd they'd ship them to me and send money afterwards and in advance. It does work but you don't make much, like 50 bucks a survey if you find a good one. I never had any trouble getting paid.

I actually just got a cheque from these people today, only $10 but I really didn't have to do anything for it: http://www.cashcrate.com/712676
So I know they pay, it's signing up for offers not surveys though. Make sure to get a fake hotmail or you'll get tons of spam and use the link I gave so I get credit.

How much did you earn? Did you just go to the 10 dollar limit to see if it was a scam? Or what? Did you use fake addresses or the real address to your home?

I got $7 from doing offers, but I was limited to what would work being in Canada. When somebody under you makes $10 you get $3 so that's how I got over the bar. I used my real address and the cheque just came in the mail today.

I have an account with E-Rewards that deposits cash into my account paying for graduate school. I've made like $30 in November. It's not a lot of money, but it's something to do while I'm at work and it will pay for books once I start school.

If you have a little more time, you should volunteer for a research study. Those pay a lot more.

yeah, research study can give you a good amount of money. i was diagnosed with GAD and PD and took a research medication for it.. however the research med's just needed a few more people to test it in order to get passed as a valid drug or whatever they do.
anyway, a year went by, they fixed me. paid me 20$ an hour for every time i stepped foot in a hospital (scans of the brain, cat scans, etc) and then gave me about 500 dollars on my last meeting (which is once a month for about 5-20 minutes). not bad at all. i got paid for them fixing/teaching me to cope with a mental disorder.

its not a scam, is a Focus Group - but in a way it is a scam - you will get paid - usually money in a white envelope - (no tax!) but the product that is being tested doest get the actual "focus" the company that is paying to do the survey.
most ppl who do focus groups are in it for the cash - so they lie to get in, and they lie while taking the survey - but who cares - get your free money.!

My flatmate worked for a company that would take surveys on the street. She got paid from 3 bucks a survey for the quention type ones to 15 bucks a survey for ones that last half an hour and you have to take the person into a bar and show them products and let them choose.
It paid alright but she said that the constant rudeness of people who didn't want to be disturbed really stressed her so she quit

It's really quite easy to tell if it's a scam.
Just ask yourself one simple question. "Am I having to PAY for this 'opportunity'?"
IF the answer is yes, it is a business. They get paid for the 'offers' you sign up for, and they get paid by you so that they will 'offer' you those 'free offers'.

i did surveys for money once for a few days..
its really like making .25 cents an hour.. i made a grand total of like 5 dollars for a long ass time and i just figured it wasn't a quick enough way.. clicking shit for hours and making nearly nothing. not worth it to me.
i didn't even cash in.

I used to work for a place that did paid opinion surveys. What you do is you do some research online looking for places like this in your area. Once you find some you call each one of them and ask to become a part of their list. They will ask you some question because when they do these surveys they try to recruit a wide variety of people of all different demographics so that they can get good feedback. Anyway when the time comes and they need people for a survey they will call their lists and ask you MORE questions to see if you qualify. If you do you get scheduled to come in and they give you the movie before you leave. The money is usually anywhere from 50 to 150 bucks, sometimes they go above that but usually only for really specific focus groups- for example we had to recruit people who owned John Deer farming equipment, took fucking forever to find people. They all got like 300 bucks for a 2 hour focus group.
