Cakes vs Casing

We clearly all know that casing produces bigger and more mushrooms then straight off the cake. BUT is there any proven fact that there is a potency difference?
say you have two cakes that where made the exact same way but at the end, 1 got to be put on bulk substrate then cased, the other grow mushrooms right off itself.
of course, the casing would have bigger ones but,
weight wise, say you got 2 grams dried from each one to eat would they potency be the same?

there is no difference. well maybe a little but its so small u won't notice.
pf cakes produce plenty potent fruits. also doing a straight cake is not going to increase over all yeilds. it still has the same amount of neutrients.
some people I think just can't get the idealconditions for cakes. casings provide a slightly better enviroment in terms of moisture meaning ur fc chamber rh does not have to be so high.
I have seen cakes produce huge flushes.
a well designed and good functioning fc with cakes should produce good results.
without spawning to bulk ur not really going to increase a cakes yeild.

casings seem to complicated, plus the brf cake ingredients are easier to get.

Casing does seem super complicated. I would use straw before I used casings (just because I'm cool like daT!).

yes casing is easy. but i was just asking if casing really changes potency. that's all. i know it changes yeild.

nothing changes potency.
potency is genetic.
casing most definitely would have no affect on potency.

As I understand it potency depends on:
a) Genetics as Jeetered said
b) Availability of nutrients. (as some specific nutrients are needed to produce the active substances)
A casing will not affect either of these two conditions
