Who's RAW here?

Anyone only eat raw (like uncooked vegetables/fruits/nuts/etc)? I've been eating raw in between fasts recently and I love it. I feel pretty good about it. I was reviewing recipes online for the raw diet and the options seem endless. Lots of fun.
Note: I am not talking about raw meat.
So anyone here have a raw diet?

I only eat raw vegetables. I don't like steamed, boiled or baked aside from stuffed peppers.

I'll eat just about anything raw with a very few exceptions.. Potatoes being one of them
I like my fish raw.
I've just recently learned about raw milk. I used to think all milk was bad for you healthwise, but I learned that I was sadly mistaken.. it's actually the pasteurization/homogenization process of milk that kills off all the beneficial bacteria/helpful enzymes/essential acids, etc. And that raw milk naturally contains all the enzymes to properly digest it, but pastuerized milk does not. Hence most people who are "lactose intolerant" are only that way because their body cannot digest pasteurized milk, but they can drink raw milk/raw milk products absolutely fine. Also mentions that the cow's diet is very important.. cows that eat mostly grain and are given hormone treatments etc.. produce a very poor and unhealthy milk. Cows that eat mostly grass and a natural diet (free of pesticides/hormones/etc) produce the best quality milk that is loaded with the natural antibiotics and essential acids we need.
Anyway, I'm having a hell of a time finding natural raw milk around here.

I have considered trying it out. A lot of articles and studies show that natural enzymes lost in cooking food are better for our bodies than the stuff they pump into products.
Have you noticed any physical or mental differences? Any performance increase athletically?

Mentally, I am clearer, have better memory, and am much more emotionally stable. That might be because of the fasting though. I am a pretty physical person and still manage to go to the gym 3-5 times a week and do an hour of yoga daily.
I get most of my information from goneraw.com. They have great recipes there!

I like raw fish, raw beef, raw apples, raw oranges, raw celery, and raw fucking cherries. Oh and what the hell, carrots, peppers, and shit too.
Its fucking good.
Interesting shit on the raw milk dude who posted it. I want some fucking raw milk, but I have no idea how to get it...isn't it a matter of federal law that r3quires all dairy products produced in the US be pasturized?
Raw tomatoes are good too. And peaches and grapes and pears and plums and pistachios and peanuts and you.
I'll eat you raw.

Wow, you eat raw beef? That's pretty interesting. I started feeding my dog raw meaty bones about six months ago and his health has improved dramatically. I haven't heard of humans doing it though.

Quote:
Sales of raw milk are legal in 28 out of 50 US states, which is better than half.
Quote:
Pasteurization destroys enzymes, diminishes vitamin content, denatures fragile milk proteins, destroys vitamins C, B12 and B6, kills beneficial bacteria, promotes pathogens and is associated with allergies, increased tooth decay, colic in infants, growth problems in children, osteoporosis, arthritis, heart disease and cancer. Calves fed pasteurized milk do poorly and many die before maturity. Raw milk sours naturally but pasteurized milk turns putrid; processors must remove slime and pus from pasteurized milk by a process of centrifugal clarification. Inspection of dairy herds for disease is not required for pasteurized milk. Pasteurization was instituted in the 1920s to combat TB, infant diarrhea, undulant fever and other diseases caused by poor animal nutrition and dirty production methods. But times have changed and modern stainless steel tanks, milking machines, refrigerated trucks and inspection methods make pasteurization absolutely unnecessary for public protection. And pasteurization does not always kill the bacteria for Johne’s disease suspected of causing Crohn's disease in humans with which most confinement cows are infected. Much commercial milk is now ultra-pasteurized to get rid of heat-resistant bacteria and give it a longer shelf life. Ultra-pasteurization is a violent process that takes milk from a chilled temperature to above the boiling point in less than two seconds. Clean raw milk from certified healthy cows is available commercially in several states and may be bought directly from the farm in many more. (Sources are listed on www.realmilk.com.)

I don't eat it very often honestly but it is quite delicious and considered a delicacy if prepared properly.

I got a strange reaction from them today...almost felt high. I ate a bunch of holiday cheesecake too, not exactly raw.
