Does it cause your teeth to feel numb and tingly? Mine are coming in and I can't stop grinding my teeth because of that annoying tingling feeling.

When I had mine removed I got knocked out.
First they gave me Nitrous...and then they gave me an injection with something that put me under. I don't know why they needed the nitrous, but it was definitely enjoyable! (I was breathing off the tank pretty heavily for at least 2 minutes)

i just had mine out ~3 weeks ago, the pain subsided about a week ago. worst, most agonizing 2 weeks of my life - my head felt like it was in a vice - and no, vicodin isn't that fun when you're in that much pain

hmm could try my best to endure the pain and save the vicodin =P
naw not really a tingling, more just a constant soft ache. thought i had to get a filling or something since it was putting pressure on all the the teeth. making em hurt a bit.
2 weeks? ah jeez. not looking forward to that. has to be done tho i guess =( bitta mj was pretty nice to numb the mouth though. hardly noticing it atm.

Dude, shitty. Mine are coming in as well, and one kinda hurts when I do speed and it touches my cheek a lot. Otherwise, I can't feel it at all..
But I'm thinking of getting it taken out anyway, because I'm off work for a while so I might as well, since I'll have to do it eventually.

I got mine taken out about 8 years ago.
I had five wisdom teeth...the doctor didn't seem to concerned about it or anything., she said it wasn't "too" abnormal. Come to think of it, she may have been trying to make me feel better. I don't know...I've never known anyone who had 5, have you?
It didn't hurt a bit. I had it done at 10am...and was eating dinner at 5pm with no problem. I didn't take any of the painkillers they gave me, either (T3s...junk). So I don't think it hurts that much.
Then again I have a strange pain tolerance...

lol generally if i keep myself busy i can just ignore pain. but hmm, could be that they just grew nicely so they could be easily taken out.
then again.... you did have 5.....you could be an evolved human with pain resisting abilities.
i always thought 4 was the max

5? How is that even possible..
I also thought 4 would be the max. I have two one feels perfectly fine and is grown in straight though.. wonder if they'll still take it out?

I think they only take them out if they are potentially growing crooked or crowding the other teeth - thus causing damage to the other teeth and throwing them out of whack.

i just got all four pulled last friday.
they gave me 40 7.5mg hydrocodones. i was pissed i was hoping for like 60 10mg pills
i thought it wasnt bad at all. i was knocked out for the surgery and when i woke up i was fine. walked to the car and talked all the way home. i stopped bleeding after a few hours at home and never bled again. i didnt even swell up much..it wasnt noticable.
i also never stopped smokin pot. i dont smoke cigs but i smoke weed everyday and i still smoked after the surgery. i never had a problem. the first few days i just put wet gauze in my mouth while smoking and then after those days i just started smoking like normal again.

Yeah when I got my wisdom teeth pulled they told me NO SMOKING for at least a week.
I smoke cigs and am a chronic pot smoker so no way that was happening. I just kept the gauze in my mouth and changed it out twice a day or so, and kept smoking like normal. No dry sockets or any shit like that.

I did, too. That was an extra $75 on top of all the rest. But the drugs were nice. Sodium Pentothal drip in one arm, I forget what they dripped into the other arm, and good ol laughing gas. I paid them to put me under, but my body was grooving on that massive buzz too much to go to sleep.
