Want to build a cheap but practical snake cage

This is my idea so far PVC frame out of 1" diameter pipes Covered with clear polyvinyl sheeting
But each pipe will have a slit going lengthwise Each of the piece of poly will have a wooden dowel with the edge of the poly wraped around it and stapled or secured
These dowels will work so that the poly can be slipped thru the slit of each PVC pipe, and the dowels will lock the polyvinyl into the pipe
Hopefully I described that well enough The idea is a cheap, portable, cage that can be disassembled
Anyone have any better ideas?

You could purchase a wire cage and line the floor and slightly up the walls with something for pretty cheap.

I have mesh for the bottom already, but I didnt want to do that with the sides because it basically wouldn't serve a purpose. He's a 5.5ft long ball python so he's strong but shouldn't be too strong for the polyv.
Main concerns are dissassembling it, heat containment (shouldn't be bad in a 75 deg room though), holding him in, and I think that's it. Wanna avoid wood because of moisture issues and cost and cutting etc. PVC piping seems the way to go!?

beautiful snakes, thanks for the idea too my thing is that I want a large enclosure. He's 17 years old, had him since I was 5, and he should be living in luxury at the very least (or as close as I can bring him to it spacewise)
